Fried was from Ohio but wrestled for Oklahoma State in college, not Ohio State.

The pronunciation of Fried's name was changed to "FRYED" after this match.

I didn’t realize at Midlands earlier that season that Fried caught Brands in a headlock and pinned him. I thought Fried took Brands down with a leg attack and pinned him.
