Agree Bono should have had backpoints in 3rd. Kolat went to the National High School Championships a couple of weeks after this match. He went up to 140 to meet Bono again, but Roger Chandler beat Bono in the semis and then Kolat beat Chandler in the final 9-5.

Cary Molar was the best high school wrestler I ever officiated! He really was something!

The 90 degree measure is an international scoring but in secondary schools and college level wrestling its 45 degrees and for 45 degrees 2 seconds really wasnt seen so 3 wasnt even close. It was a very close call though

too funny dude! you're absolutely right! a good wrestler can stop himself from being tilted. in addition, a good wrestler can combo tilt just about anybody, e.g., a two-on-one tilt to a turk. awesome comment! re: "take away the takedown etc." if you did that, it would just end-up being mma garbage, which really isn't a sport. rather, it's just a bunch of pissed off and 'roided' tough guys trying to beat the snot out of each other.
