According to her siblings, she was begging for a gun for a long time before he finally bought her one. I agree that it was irresponsible to buy her one, but that's more context that's not well known.

She said something about her being on pcp (or some kind of psychedelic drug) and with most of those types of drugs it’s almost immediately out of ur system when u stop feeling the symptoms, and since she barricaded herself for around seven hours (and was probably inside the house the entire morning) it makes a little sense that the police couldn’t find anything in her system; and same with the alcohol she could’ve easily drank a bunch of water and flushed it all out her system (either on purpose or on accident) before being tested. And even if her erratic decision was made while just on a mix of pills and alcohol she still could’ve flushed it all out

You're too damn sure. She wouldn't be the first or the 10 thousandth to be paroled after a life in prison sentence. Less than 5 years after Spencer's conviction, Laura Troiani was sentenced to "life in prison without parole," she is a free woman today living among us. Long after the victim's families have moved on and moved away or died, the perpetrator's supporters are still working full time to get these people off. There are scores and scores of legal organizations that do nothing but fight convictions and seek release of dangerous criminals. Well funded groups like the euphemistically named "innocence project," which brags about all the killers they have gotten released from prison. Adnan Syed is another recent example.

How can one be cognisant of one's actions after having consumed quantities of drugs and alcohol, as the interviewer and "certain people" seem to suggest? She was indeed probably out of it at the moment of committing the offence. That, in my mind, does not make her actions any less reprehensible, because any normal person - and this lady is normal, make no mistake - knows that the combination of drugs, alcohol, a shotgun, 500 rounds of ammo, depression and having an axe to grind with society at large, is a tragedy waiting to happen. The father should have been brought to book as well.

She must be a crack shot if she could be that drunk and that high but still hit head shots from that far away. @@mariahashmi1453 It's too late now. He's dead. They should have done that years ago. They also should have charged the mother for dumping her with him and taking off. Then let's see we should also charge the people who knew she had mental problems and let her slip through the cracks. When do we finally say she was 16 and knew what she was doing? Give responsibility to the one who did the crime and stop giving excuses for why she did it? Do we have any proof of what happened to her? Not saying it didn't happen. But again I say many kids have been abused by their parents. They didn't choose to kill others. Do we give those abusive parents credit for the way their children turned out? Of course we don't. Because it is the child who made the right decisions.

So interesting. I was tortured by the kids at that school and a teacher, Mrs mize. When I started there in third grade I was 3 years ahead of my class academically but by the end of that year I forgot what letters and numbers were. I lost the ability to speak German and Spanish as well. That's how emotional trauma works. That was the worst time of my life. Funny how karma comes knocking back at your door. Very funny actually.

what does her appearance have to do with anything? "Beautiful" or not, she still opened fire at a school injuring 8 children, 1 adult and also killed 2 adults in the process. She doesn't deserve another chance in life, she said "I hope that they're all doing ok (...) that I haven't scarred them for life". If you had a child and they were shot while they were in school, would you not be scarred for life? would you want this woman to have another shot at making her life a life worth living? living like an adult who didn't traumatize many individuals? doubt it. She clearly does not understand what her actions have done and instead is telling the public what they want to hear in hopes that people as naive as you will say stupid shit like "I'm glad they're giving her another chance in life".
