My fledgling but successful attempt at swapping out the stock single piston front brakes to the dual piston system.

Prob watched this 100 times in the last two weeks. Just completed both sides and added b-line braided lines. With the lines they provide you don't have to widen the mounting bracket at all, and it requires less bending / modification of the hard line and plate - adding this just in case anyone is about to do this work. Thank you so much for making this video. I've never worked on a car before and my new (to me) van was in desperate need of brake work. Happy to say its rolling again with no issues.

I've got the parts on the way but didn't order the ss brake line. where di you source it? do you know the length?

Hey John! Thanks for the great video and information!! About to tackle this myself and just wanted to check to see how you felt about this performance wise after having it installed. Would you go with that same kit again? Anything you’d do differently?? I know hindsight is 20/20. Thanks again!

Zero regrets. I’ve lifted the ass end a couple times on the hard stops. Works like a ding dong. Only thing I’d change, and I’m fine with how it is, is the braided lines have a stiff part in them at the ends. I’m sure they’re reinforcement or whatnot but that limits the lines’ flexibility. Not enough to matter but enough for me to think maybe flexible the entire length would be cooler. That being said, I sleep like a baby with it the way that it is. HMU if you get stuck on any part. Performance is like the difference between firing a bullet and throwing it. Night and day. I have nothing to compare components to besides the before and after as this is the only time I’ve done this. The brand I used came highly recommended and is a trusted name. Zero regrets. Thanks!

I got the calipers and pads from RockAuto. The fittings and braided lines came from two other places but I haven’t saved that info. I hoped folks would be able to google from my info. Sorry! Also, note that those packages of fittings all came in pairs. I ordered double the amount needed. I actually still have them because I haven’t taken the time to find the receipts and ship em back.
