On the 25th of October 1993, a regular Monday at MMA, Lagos with individuals going about their affairs, passengers boarded the Airbus 310 Nigerian Airways Flight WT470 scheduled for Abuja unknown to them that this was going to be an experience they would remember for years to come. Four passengers had a different idea for the trip, Richard Ogunderu, Kabir Adenuga, Benneth Oluwadaisi, and Kenny Rasaq-Lawal, boarded the plane gently and waited until the pilot announced that passengers could unfasten their seat belts. Upon taking off, the lads sent a signal to each other and took control of the plane.
