I use oem 93 oil sensor with adapter or I've used oem oil sender for LS for obdII and a added oem 93 oil sensor on side of motor above filter. On coolant I use a 98 camaro sensor (3 wire) and just added 1 wire for guage on dash.

I've been reading a ls swap book for about a week or so. It says in the book it's not a good idea to use the factory lines even if they are metal like that because the tbi lines are only use to pushing 12psi of pressure, where as the LS efi system pushes 58psi. I've never tried it before, I'm just going off what the book said.

Great videos good info but no one shows how to hook up tcc and neutral saffy switch set up and how to wire it
@krustyclassicsgarage4 ай бұрын
That has nothing to do with the swap itself. That's dependent on the vehicle itself as the switch isn't touched for a swap

I literally just watched a video of you and I wanted to ask for your opinion . I’m from the valley/RGV in Texas . Everything is so expensive that’s related to motors. Which engine would you recommend me getting ? A 4.8, 5.3, 5.7, or a 6.0 ? And what generation ?

I just got a 97 ck1500 2 months ago and I wanted to start buying piece by piece so I can hopefully put it together by the end of next year.

How much would it cost if I let a shop do this ls swap ?
@krustyclassicsgarage Жыл бұрын
Theres no telling. Could be anywhere from 5-20k. All depends on the shop, their rates, the parts you want, what all you want done, etc.

Another great video, thanks for the info. Quick question, i want to LS a 1990 OBS (will pick it up in a couple weekends) all the things you mention in the begining, the inline fuel filter /transmission etc. does that apply to the 90 OBS, or is it to early compared to that 93 you did? Oh and also, will all the front accessories from the efi 350 bolt up to the LS?
@krustyclassicsgarage Жыл бұрын
90 shouldn't be any different than 93. I believe they didn't start the 4l60e until 93 but I could be wrong. Im not well versed in these trucks specifically. But fuel system, headers, etc should all be the same for a 90yr model. The original engines accessories won't work on the LS brackets unless you do some customizing of the bracket itself. Thats why its best to get the LS engine 100% complete.

Depends on if you do it yourself and how cheap you get your parts.
