1993 Topps Finest Baseball Cards were an iconic set that turned the Hobby towards a more Premium Style (and pricier) Card. The Refractors are Super Rare and still heavily sought after by collectors today. In this Video we review cards 1-50 of the Refractor set. All cards in this set are graded and encased by SGC grading.

John Olerud wore a helmet because he had an aneurysm while in college and wore it for extra protection. He had a sweet swing. Great video and collection Dane!

First premium set was 1984 Topps Tiffany, first premium design would be 1991 Desert Shield.

Tiffany was a glossy set and it was awesome, but they looked the exact same as normal topps cards. Desert Shield was exactly the same design as regular 1991 Topps Cards, just with a gold stamp on them. I love those sets you mentioned, however the cards look the exact same as regular Topps Cards. Chrome was a new technology and card design that no one had ever seen before and packs were $25 each. From a design/creativity standpoint this was cutting edge, and started a wave of chrome cards we still enjoy today.
