The knock out punch occurred with a man clearly down so that is a clear disqualification. Has nothing to do with intent.

Riddick Bowe got screwed here and I don't believe he consciously sought to hit Mathis illegally. Mathis purposely went to his knee after being stunned and he should have known the danger of going to one knee leaving his head wide open. He should have fallen to the floor out of harms way. Fighters frequently get caught up in the passion when they have an opponent hurt badly and unfortunately in this case the ref could not intervene fast enough to pull Bowe away.

Nah man that isn't how boxing works. Its also not like he didn't see him on his knee. He even took time to process it and then throw the punch. However I don't think he really meant to do it in a malicious way, I think he honestly just didn't care at that moment. A no contest is a perfect decision.
