For years, America’s Audi fans could only dream of owning one of the sporty station wagons only available to the Quattro faithful across the Atlantic. Finally, in 2021, Audi brought the 591-horsepower RS6 to our shores, and this year, they’re sending an even faster version. But as our Roger Mecca is going to show us, Audi’s history of lightning-quick wagons under the RS name are what US car fans have been lusting for, for more than 20 years.

I thought this was a retro review at first, then pleasantly surprised to this be a modern take on an old car. Keep these videos up, and get John involved, these might be a new hit for motor week.

We are glad you enjoyed it! We do these Tire Track segments a few times a year, and they're vehicles that we never originally tested. This RS2 was never sold in the U.S. so we don't have a review on it. But since it can finally be imported, its a cool car with a great story for us to tell!

I love sport wagons, that's why I married with mine , Marea Weekend Turbo, they only made 1047 units and they were all imported only to Brazil It has the same powertrain from Fiat Coupe 5cc 20v turbo

@MachtNixPasstSo Only the Marea Weekend Turbo was produced for Brazil, for other countries they were produced with smaller engines and without Turbo!

Amazing car, but always billed as a new amazing concept. Audi already had the 200 20v avant and the URS4 Avant. With a ecu tune and maybe a larger turbo if your real keen, you get very close to a RS2 for a much cheaper price!

4.8 is still fast. Meanwhile my non performance wagon...does ot in 8 lol. Hell if they got the turbo to spool faster i think its be in the low 4s

Your crazy as you look. A 2.2 litre in line 5 with 300plus hp. 1994.... i dont care about modern specs and leaving this in the dust. This is absolutely amazing... 30 years ago people, 4.8 second 0-60 time is was unheard of..... Perspective, mustangs were still running a 5 litre and 100 hp less with 0-60 times in the 6s at best (cobra and pace car editions) MW, what are the so said torque specs???
