I think these are beautiful amps, you can tell they were designed from high tech 1970's-80's proven technology, Chris Underwood passed away, he was an important person to Linear Power and Kicker, he should be thanked for bring back Linear Power Amplifiers! Components from High End home audio were used in the construction of these amps, making them long lasting and durable! How many To-3 amplifiers have you ever seen that would do a two ohm mono-load? I believe it is the one draw back of the To-3 transistor amp, it's incapability to handle ultra low impedance's , but it is also the same reason another Linear Power Mono-Block you dyno'd could hit 800 watts at 8 ohms and the same at 4 ohms! I still get people that argue there was no amp in the early 1990's that could hit that power at 8 ohms mono! But there was, they are as much today as they were brand new! I do believe Zed makes his claim about his first home Amplifier being ultra high power and how much he likes the To-3's used in amplifier designs at his site!

Thanks Big D! I remember running a single one of these to a pair of Kicker comp 12's in like 97 and being so surprised how clean and articulate the bass was. Just 1.75ft^3 sealed boxes and middle range subs but wow the sound! I originally bought a pair of these in Crazy Plum and a pair of 15" Petras Hyperthrows and installing them in my 91 Prelude in the trunk, (no easy feat) It was great. 1 got stolen and other burned out during the theft, but recently repaired and modded, and back on the shelf.

What did it sound like on ur sub? I have always sworn by these amps after the first time I ever heard one back in the day. I think they were one of the most powerful amps for the size and had much better sound quality then any other amp I had ever had.

It would be interesting, to review the soundstream d 200 amplifier it is an amp designed by Nelson Pass and it is from the old school of car amplifiers

Have you done a dyno video on the Linear Power 2002? I might be picking one up in the next couple of days and was wondering what it actually puts out.

Not under rated, modern amps are over rated. Any amp should be able to output 20hz to 20khz at the same time.... not a single 1khz pulse which is not indicitive of what an amp outputs when playing music.

hey Big D you remember me I put that small Kenter ant in my grandson's Power Wheels I have a pioneer stereo in my rock z28 and I have two boss 700 watt a piece speakers that I'm running only for now woody amp do me any good or how about and booster equalizer could you help me out bro and do you have anything lying around to get rid of or just some good advice I'm going to get two tens subs for the back eventually and new 4 inch in the dash two of those and I'm not for sure if the doors have speakers it looks like maybe a set of 6 by nines I am doing a little bit at a time since I'm on disability and christmas is here any good advice man would be appreciated love your channel I watch your videos all the time man

Also I believe those are to3, not to5, not to doubt you but that's what they look to be. Track down a audio art 100hc, used to3 and had lots of capitannce in it on the power supply and rail side, only touched one but seemed pretty stout.

Way over built, Ray Raymond knows what he is doing. Can tour synopsis measure output voltage? I'd like to see that. I've been bit by a few amps. The 2502iq is the one who got me the hardest, I wouldn't want to even try the "big" ones, I bet the new could say outdo them only thing close is the pure re us amps
