Still the most exciting game I witnessed. The stadium was electric from start to finish and this includes the world series years. It was just unbelievable.

I went to my first ever mariners game that year at the Kingdome in Seattle when I was 11. It was in September when we were making a run for the division and we came back from down 6-0 against the Oakland A’s to win 10-7 and it was all off of homers which is the best you can hope for at your first ever mlb game. I even got to see Vince Coleman hit his first ever grand slam in that game. What a time that was in M’s history.

I was at that game. Very memorable!! Mark McGwire hit TWO mammoth HRs into the third deck in left field, in the same innining! That was how Oakland took that 6-0 lead. I very much remember after his first HR, the Kingdome big screen flashed that in the history of the dome, just six players had ever homered into the third deck in left. McGwire did it twice in two ABs, in the same inning. Your first game?!! Incredible.

Thank you, thank you for this game. It has been missing from my collection for over 25 years. I have favorites. Favorite WS - 1975, Reds - Red Sox. Favorite LCS - 2004, Yankees - Red Sox. Favorite LDS - 1995, Yankees - Mariners. This game completes the set. Thanks again.

Agreed, some of the roll of the announcers is cut short. I really love a well-called game. One of the lost arts of baseball
