it's hard to get 400 out of a pushrod 302 without upgrading internals. I managed +85(306hp RWH) with all the bolt on's available(no NOS), CAI, H pipe, head work, full MSI ign, all the shiny stuff, on my 94 S95, this one is definitely got more love than mine though so I crossing my fingers you get over that holy 400 hump... it just makes so much more sense to go with a Coyote swap(if you have patience to find a deal, imo).

dude bart is a legend i gotta race him one day

I am the owner. Improper valve train geometry from the previous owners build caused a valve guide to wear and bind. Valve floated and caused a collision with the piston. Bent intake valve and broken pushrod. Need to see Bart again to make a final run, pulllied down.

I think he bent a rod that's my opinion just a little. the hot air doesn't matter going into the supercharger because it has an intercooler to cool the charge but usually the old 5.0 need piston and rods at 400hp wheel boosted. blocks are good to 480hp boosted usually not always and some of the old 5.0 Came with forged internals can't remember the year but it's a cheap alternative if you can find them
