My uncle who was a long time derdy county fan passed away sunday due to covid. He always talked about this match, derby winning at Old Trafford.

The best away game ever for me,, the best kit (still got this shirt with Ward on the back), the best manager (Jim Smith) in my time supporting them,, and the best goal I've seen us score (Wanchope) who was absolutely brilliant to watch.

Commentator witnessed one of the greatest goals in premier league history and commentated it like he was watching paint dry. Fair play.

Still makes me laugh/cry/whatever. I was there that that day and I want to know where Wanchope's goal figures in the best ever. The powers that be wouldn't want to credit an unknown Costa Rican. The hardest task that day was trying not to laugh too much on leaving Old Triffid as we made our way back to the tram stop. COYR.

I was there that day too, but didn't lose any sleep over dropped points on our way to yet another league title. No mither. Flew out from M'cr to Amsterdam and on to Dortmund for the European Cup semi final on the Monday where bigger fish awaited. Had a ball in Europe, even though we lost, and ended up winning the league at a canter. MUFC X 20.
