How did u do the carb conversion on this year 4.3 vortec v6?

the boat engine 4.3 had a carb intake and crap on it. so all you have to do is find a boat 4.3 with a carb swap intake and carb. regulate fuel pressure and do some other small stuff and there ya go

It's really, really technical but here goes, change the intake and distributor, and put a fuel pressure regulator before the carburator...

You can’t …… vortec 4.3 engines have what’s called a balance shaft, which mounts in the intake valley under the intake manifold , they don’t make a carb intake for a 4.3 with balance shaft and the non Vortec intake won’t physically fit the Vortec engine due to interference from the balance shaft , most people take a 91 and under non Vortec 4.3 and slap Vortec heads on them and run a carb setup that way , the Vortec heads flow much better and it retains the same mounting points as the non Vortec edelbrock intake To convert to carb in a already tbi vehicle you need to know if you have a mechanical or electronic valve body transmission, meaning 700r4 ( mechanical ) or a 4L60e ( electronic ) this will determine if it will be cheap and easy or expensive, it’s easy either way but if your transmission is electronic controlled then you would have to buy a aftermarket tcm to control the transmission for shift patterns , rpm’s etc which runs a extra $700-$1200 for the part needed Next would be fuel system , you can either keep the factory fuel pump that’s setup for tbi and just add a fuel pressure regulator to turn the fuel pressure down to 5-7 psi for a carb or you can redo the fuel system entirely by taking the stock pump out the tank, replace it with a fuel pickup and then add a Holley 5-7 psi pump in line off the frame Next would be ignition/ distributor , it’s very easy to grab a Hei distributor , this would do away with coil and all the wiring for a ignition box , all you need is power , ground , and rpm wire That’s the basics of doing a carb swap 🎉

Can you show us the lift and what size tires and what is your rpo code in glove box gu6 or gu8? Np233 transfer case? 4l60e? 4.3l vortec?

3 inch its actually a colorado lift rc

Bro there's actually nothing wrong with a blazer. My parents to this day still have one as a daily drive and it's still kicking after 350k miles 😅 it's not as good as the Silverados or big main stream 4×4 but they can still get it done
