@MostlyBuicks I post on occasion talking about cars I own. I sell one, I buy another. Although I started life as a Ford person, I now am into Buicks and Cadillacs. I hope you find some pleasure or entertainment out of my efforts.

Love these B body GMs, especially the ROADMASTER. I've always wanted one...almost pulled the trigger on one a couple years ago but decided it was a little too rough for my taste. If I can find a clean one for a good price I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. Great car for a younger driver. Big, roomy, enough power to cruise comfortably on the highway but not enough to get them in trouble...cheap on maintenance for the most part. Great to take on long trips. They don't make anything this comfortable (besides $100k+ ultra luxury cars) nowadays.

I see them for sale all the time on various internet venues. One has to be willing to travel or ship to get exactly what you want. My typical mode of operation is to fly in and drive back home.

I miss that push button automatic you sold me way back when
@MostlyBuicks5 ай бұрын
All but one of my Dodge or Plymouth push button cars I owned were when I lived in Wisconsin, drove the 64 Valiant wagon for my move to Tucson in 1978. I owned a red 63 Dodge Dart in Tucson. Mom had a accident in it. The 66 Valiant Signet did not have push buttons (64 being the last year for that). Had a RUSTY blue 64 Dart in Wisconsin around 1975 or so, and a 64 Valiant way back in 1972. I do not know who you are, but it must have been the wagon you are talking about. UNLESS there is a car in my past I have forgotten about. After all, there have been 87 so far!

Okay the jig is up Darsk. It was the red 1963 Dodge Dart with the plaid cloth interior. The tow company would not even let us get your personal stuff out of the car. They were crooks and it is ILLEGAL in AZ to hold a car hostage for towing fees. I liked that car too. But I also liked that green Buick Apollo you ended up with. That Buick 350 engine was quite peppy.

I love how you deliver your dry humor on your reviews! Your daughter has great taste in cars. This car reminds me of my 1996 Caddy Sedan de Ville. It's Cotillion White with saddle leather interior. Keep the videos coming! I remember watching your video on your gorgeous 1996 Calypso Green Fleetwood Brougham.

Thank you for the welcome and nice compliments. My car videos are subterfuge for my real goal of delivering my humor. The trouble is one has to view the entire video for the payoff, and I bore most people before they get a chance to encounter it in the video. I do not know when it will arise either as I never script my videos. And then again, my humor is not universal. I had a 1996 DeVille. Of the 6 Northstar cars I had, it was the only one that did not leak oil. None of them had head bolt problems, so I consider myself lucky in that regard. The DeVille was sold to my son-in-law. When he sold it, it had 250K miles! Could that be a record for a Northstar without engine repair? I plan on doing my next video on a 1994 Roadmaster Limited I sold to my son-in-law. It has a cloth interior and the towing package as well as the Prestige package. It is probably the nicest Roadmaster I have ever owned. It is now in service as a daily driver.

I hope I'll have the same luck with my Cadillac. Other than a parasitic drain issue, it has been very reliable when I drive it, which is seldom. It only has 85K on it and I show it in car shows. Not to brag, but it won two trophies. My daily driver is a 2006 Lincoln Town Car. The Cadillac is currently in his deep sleep for the Winter here in the cold Northeast. And being a woman, I refer to cars as "he" not "she" like your mom did. Looking forward to seeing the video on your son-in-law's Roadmaster! @@MostlyBuicks

I have a 94 Buick Limited Roadmaster(270,000k), a 95 Buick Limited Roadmaster(300,000k), and a 1995 Cadillac Fleetwood(16,000K). All 3 have the Factory Tow Option. The Buicks have the best Overall Ride. The Caddy has a 3.41 rear axle, and can Take off at the Lights quite quickly All 3 have Cloth Seats, which I prefer over Leather. Leather is Great for Women's Underwear, Pants, and Mini Skirts, but horrible for Car Seats The 94 and 95 have the Rear Cup Holders. My 94 has the same Ugly Vinyl Roof, the 95 Roadmaster is a painted Roof. The 95 Caddy has full Vinyl Roof.
@MostlyBuicks5 ай бұрын
Thank you! I cannot figure out why my daughter's Limited does NOT have the rear cup holders. You can see I was genuinely shocked in the video. Let me ask you. Do you prefer the 1994 Limited seats or the 1995 Limited seats? I had a 1996 Fleetwood Brougham with the V4P tow package and vinyl roof DELETE. The non--Broughams came with the painted roof, but a Brougham with a painted roof is quite rare. I agree with you the Roadmasters handle better. When I drive my Roadmasters after having driven my Fleetwoods, I feel like I am in a sport car by comparison. It is good to see another one out there who loves these cars. Rare factoid: In 1993 the Fleetwoods had the V92 tow package llke the Roadmasters, (L05 engine too). BUT! Early 1994 LT-1 Fleetwoods ALSO had the V92 tow package option with the 2:93 rear gear. Only 954 had that V92 option. Then they soon went to the superior V4P package with the 3:42 rear gear. All 95 and 96 Fleetwood tow packages were the V4P version. On my Roadmasters with the V92 option I buy a harness so I can convert them to a dual electric fan. I do not like the mechanical fan for two reasons: 1. Noise. 2. Harder to work on them as to replace or maintain the Opti-spark and water pump. But there is no wire harness available to convert the Fleetwood tow cars, so I had to suffer the mechanical fans on those.
@pjimmbojimmbo19905 ай бұрын
@@MostlyBuicks Perhaps the Rear Armrest was reupholstered... My 95 Fleetwood has the VP4, and there is a Factory Installed Wiring Harness, with the Cable Part for the Trailer, in a Faux Leather Pouch concealed behind the Trunk Trim Panel on the Driver's Side. The Seats on the 94 RM are more cushy that the 95 RM, but don't have the Heaters. They do have far more extensive Lumbar Adjustments. I prefer the Door Mirrors on the 95s. My 94 RM is still using the original Opti-spark Cap and Rotor, and until 9 months ago, the original Plug Wires. The Water Pump Shaft Seal leaks but changing that Teflon Seal is a real PIA. A few winters ago, the 94 was missing on heavy acceleration. It then became hard to start. When would I let go of the Key, the engine would then spin backward, and belch the unburnt gas out Air Clearer intake. One day when it did that, there a very loud backfire and large quantity of white Vapour came out from under the Hood. I finally got it running an took it my Cousin's shop and asked if they would pull the Injectors out check them. A few minutes later, they cam and got me, and pointed the Valve Cover on the Drivers Side. The Gasket was pushed out, and the Cover was distorted. Repaired that and put new Plugs in, but didn't touch the injectors. A week later, I woke up, and decided to look at the Wire Between the Opti-Sprak and the Coil. The Coil end had no Connector on it and a corroded mess in the Coil. Clean out the Coil, found old Plug Wire and used it. No more Hard Starting or Misses. On the Driver's side, only 2 bolts hold the Exhaust Manifold on, the rest have snapped off, sounds like a leaky Header until the engine warms up. For 20 yrs, the CEL is on because of a Code 32(EGR), I ignore it, or clear it using the HVAC control. I prefer the Limited Slip Diffs in the RM over the Open Diff with Traction Control in the Caddy. Both RMs have 2.93s. I am contemplating getting another RM Climate Control Unit and swapping it into the Caddy, which will allow far better control of the Air Flow of the HVAC 3 or 4 yrs ago, some Walking Talking Rectums sawzalled the Cats off the Caddy, doing so the Bastard cut into a Frame Brace. On the RMs I replaced the Mufflers with Magnaflows. The 95 got the Smaller ones and larger after pipes with no resonators, Rumbles, and really barks when it floored. The 94 got longer Magnaflows, and I kept the Resonators, and it is whisper quiet most of the time, unless it is floored then it barks.

How much did you spend on all those repairs? Why not give any details
@MostlyBuicks5 ай бұрын
I did not have the receipts in front of me. But since MOST of them were gifts to my daughter, it is not polite to tell the person you gift to the expense of the gift. But I can assure you all totaled is LESS than a year's worth of new car payments. If you are interested in doing these types of repairs on your car, estimates are available. And I did not charge my labor to anyone, as I did enough of the initial work myself to get the car safe and presentable before relinquishing the ownership to her.

@@michaelgrow8630 Oh, Ya know, I did not take any offense OOFTA! I am from Wisconsin, so my humor may have some Scandinavian influence. I was just wondering what aspect of my video, personality or appearance you may have been referring to. Curiosity on my part. You betcha. My step grandfather was Danish. My stepmother was 100% Norwegian. They both made fun of Swedes. (they did not know each other). Back in the day, in the rural Midwest where no one had skin darker than an albino, we Europeans made fun of each other ethnicities. It was mandatory, friendly and welcome for the most part. EVERYONE chipped in making fun of the Poles, but it seems no one picked on the Germans. haha. Another thing, Ford guys made fun of Chevy guys. And Mopars were either fair game from either or they were simply given a pass. Ford meant Found On Road Dead. and Chevy meant Crummiest Heap Ever Ventured Yet. Mopar was No Power. In today's climate, busting each other's balls is OFFENSIVE. You just can't make ethnic jokes anymore. I miss the days of Lenny Bruce, Andrew Dice Clay, Carlin, and various others made jokes about stereotypes. It was a friendlier time despite what it appeared to be at face value. Yep, nowadays Blazing Saddles gets a lengthy, whinny trigger warning. Society is no longer sophisticated enough to take a joke.
