This engine is an 8 valve X16SZR with 55kW/75HP ; not a 16V engine.

Yes, it is. 16 valve version of 1.6 engine (X16XEL) has another valve cover and it's Multi-point fuel injected, whereas X16SZR is Single-point fuel injected

This is the "Cool" limited edition, offered only in 1996 in Germany. Beautiful color called Bermudagrün. I have the same car, but 3 door hatchback 1.6 16V 100 hp and automatic gearbox, with additional power windows and mirrors.

This was my first car. You can hit 100 Km/h in 2nd gear for the best 0-100 time with the 16V engine

My first car - but it is 1.6 8v not ecotec 16v - 75 HP. I had also '96 in the same version with AC (special for euro 1996) , but hatchback. This one is in very good condition. Healthy Astra can do 0-100 in 13 sec.
