True story the day of the race, my brother-in-law was talking to someone who was on Mandelas team, and he gave him the trifecta box winners and he comes up to me and asked me, who do you like, and my answer to him was the only reason we are here is to see my horse Cigar, and I bought all Cigar wear that day, so he went and changed his bet, and everyone know that once you make a bet you should never change it!! He would of won a lot of money that day.

At this time, I didn't think another horse could hook Siphon and put him away. He was a speed freak but Cigar managed to do it. I believe Bailey had to go with him because a loose Siphon, in my mind, was unbeatable. Nakatani was race riding on Dramatic Gold and trying to lock Cigar in, and Bailey figured he had to go.
