Did you buy the Graphics from a store/ online? Or did you have them made special?

You do. I restored a mustang. You would be amazed what you can do with some research and preparation before you start a project. Also there are tons of people on here that love to help out a beginner. Like I did with my mustang you start on small areas at a time take pictures before you start and label things while taking apart. I labeled every wire and every nut and bolt got put in a zip lock bag and put with what it came off with. If you have the desire a beginner can easily do this project.

great restoration job.. I want to do this to mine but need to get the seal replaced i think that runs around the water intake as I take on water bad now when sitting idle in the water.

Eraser wheel works for decals get them ur local auto paint store.. upholstery from scratch is hard

Great job! No engine work? Any gelcoat repair? Did you price buying OEM seat pads and upholstery anywhere? Is it tough to find replacement parts for this discontinued product line in 2018?

I still have the boat, unfortunately the driver side engine locked up and am in process of getting a rebuild. Hope to have it back on the water before Memorial day. :-)

I don't have this problems any more, installed outboard engine 100hp, going even better using half of fuel :)

Mine is almost done. Bought it new in 1996 it's been trough hell and high water I just can't part with it.

Although it's one of the best restorations of an old sportster/speedster I've seen, how does the black hydromatt feel on your feet after a while in the sun? I live in FL, and I know it looks great, but does it burn, or is it something you can live with?

I have a custom rebuild I would like to pay to have done - Would you be up for the gig? Black hull with charcoal top and tan sundek and vinyl (euro-style) ... To look like the 2018 GTX 300 limited.

Im looking into restoring the same boat my only concern is the seat foam. What did you do about the seat foam on yours i cant seem to be able to find it anywhere.
