Yes. Same platform same seat guide tracks = same leg room. I have the US spec MK3 Golf GL with the 2L 8v making 115 hp and it's a great car not as sporty as the GTI in this video, but still very good all around car. Better than what you can get today. Modern cars are horrible now, and outrageously expensive and with build in planned obsolescence!

@@horseathalt7308 I'm looking at a couple really clean golf GL cars. One is Dragon green like the one in the video, good paint but not perfect. The other has lower miles and excellent original paint, but it's white which I'm not the biggest fan of. Anyways, how easy is it to find parts in the USA? I'm looking to just have it as a clean runner, not looking to go crazy on mods/performance. Let me know!

@@samtaylor4470 It's a mixed bag there are some parts which were specific to North American models only and they are somewhat scarce, many parts which were specced for all markets are still in reasonable good supply.
