این بازی یکی از بهترین و خاطره انگیزترین بازیهای تیم ملی کشورمان بود که دو بر صفر عقب بودیم اما با گلهای زیبای مهدوی کیا و همت همه بازیکنان اسطوره و متعصب آن زمان تیم ملی کشورمان چین را در کشور خودش با چهار گل پیاپی در هم کوبید.یادش به خیر و روح همه عزیزانمان که در آن زمان در کنار مابودند و به رحمت خدا رفتند شاد.با سپاس.🙏🌹❤️

That was China's best team but that Iran team was stacked and that is where the legend of Mehdi Madavakia was born and guys like Ali Daei, Khodad Azizi and Abedzadeh arrived on the scene. From a German American to Iran zendebad Iran good luck at the world cup in your group.

سلام اون روز دقیقا من یادمه. یه روز گرم در روزهای آخر تابستون 1376بود دقیقا شنبه 22شهریور 1376من رفته بودم حموم عمومی روستا، نفراتی که جدید امدن گفتن مهدوی کیا دوتا گل زده یادش بخیر.جالبش این بود که با این که عاشق فوتبال بودم اما اون روز خبر نداشتم ایران با چین حرومزاده کمونیست بازی داره

This team was Iran's golden generation. Too bad it did not win the Asian cup due to lack of funding, having a non professional coach and biased refereeing which was the norm against Iran. We had Mehdi Mahdavikia, Ali Daei, Karim Bagheri, Khodadad Azizi, Ahmadreza Abedzadeh all in their prime at the same time, this team would be untouchable in Asia if managed correctly. Later on Ali Karimi and Javad Nekounam were good addition to the aging stars, but the 98 team was definitely one that could go to next rounds of WC.

مهدي نجم المباراة بجدارة كبيرة انا من العراق وفي ذلك الوقت كنت اتابع هذا الفريق الرائع افضل منتخب في تاريخ ايران واتذكر منهم الرائع خدادي عزيزي وكريم باقري ومهدي فيكا افضل جناح ايمن في تاريخ الكرة الايرانية وعلى رأسهم علي داءي واتذكر جيدا مباراتهم في مونديال فرنسا ١٩٩٨ وفوزهم الرائع على امريكا وكانت فرحه مابعدها فرحة وعلى ما اتذكر ان مهدي سجل هدف في تلك المباراة للعلم مهدي فيكا يتحدث العربية بطلاقة لانه من اهلنا في الاهواز....

During 96-98 period Iran defeated Saudis 3-0 and South Korea 6-2. That Iranian team had so many good players who went to Germany, England and Belgium to play in European clubs. The guy who scored 2 goals in this match joined Hamburger SV and spent 11-12 years in Bundesliga.

@@vladmir6301 they defeated Saudi 3-0 in the group stage after Saudi assured qualification to the Quarter finals. Saudi went on to defeat that Iranian side in the semi final (and Saudi were the champs of that Asian Cup). The 90s Saudi Arabia always had Iran's number and defeated them when it counted and it was due to Saudi Arabia that Iran failed to qualify to the 1994 and 2002 world Cup (and almost 1998 as well). 1990s were the golden age of Saudi Arabia football and it completely dominated the region club football and national side.

@@akleo78 yeah, you are right. I remember in 98, Saudis been crashed with 8 goals !! what a shame! Meanwhile, Iran defeated US with 2 goals and lost to Germany 2-1, leaving the race with honor.

خیلی وقت بود دنبال این بازی بودم . اولین استوپ سینه ، شوت سر ضربی بود که دیده بودم دوران بچگی ، از همین استاد اسدی بود . دمش گرم . پی همین بازی ها ایران با استرلیا مساو کرد و رفت جام جهانی . و اولین برد در جام جهانی رو همون 98 داشتیم که ایران 2 بر 1 آمریکا رو برد

جووونم ممد مایلی کهن چه تیمی درست کرده بود یادمه سوم دبیرستان بودم رفته بودیم سر تمرین دستیاراش نادر فریادشیران و مجید جهانپور بودن تیم کم امکاناتی بود سر تمرین سه تا هندونه بود با یه کلمن قرمز آب که از درش به عنوان لیوان آب استفاده میکردن یادش بخیر

۲تا گل مهدوی کیا بی نظیر بود واقعا فوق سوپر گل بود و گل آخر که متوجه نشدم کی بود؛ اینقدر ناگهانی توپ رو پاش اومد که اگر ۶ ماه تمرین میکردن اینجوری نمیتونستن بزنن؛ چقدر زیبا و پر قدرت چسبید روی پاش و با تمام قدرت زد تو دروازه؛ گل آخر هم از همه جهت زیبا بود👏👏👍👍👌👌💪💪💖💝

مهدی تنها بازیکنی بود که توانست با شرایط بازی در اروپا خودشو هماهنگ کند و همین باعث شد تا اخر بازیگریش در هامبورگ بماند البته اگر مدیر برنامه خوبی داشت فضا برای رشد بیشتر و بازی در تیم های سر شناس را داشت

As a young child growing up in Saudi Arabia, it was taken for granted that the Iranian national team was the most entertaining and talented team from Asia. Khodadad Azizi was world class and underrated imo.

Seems like those days no-one give a shit to penalty kick rules! Look at the first Penalty, No.10 of China is almost by the referee when No.6 kicked the ball. and the 2th penalty of Iran! almost everyone followed the kicker in the box!! :)))))) Cool one:))
