Thanks man. They were trying to sell me the entire switch for 30 and I got the two piece bushing and stopper set at oreilly for around $8.30 instead. Took me 2 minutes to swap out. You rock.

It's too late right now to go get a replacement part, so I wedged something between the pedal and button to stop the lights from being on. I'll be headed to the auto parts store tomorrow morning to get a replacement and make the fix!

This happened to me yesterday. I had to disconnect my battery. Hopefully, this is the issue with my car because it's an easy fix. I did find broken pieces of hard plastic on the floor so it's looking like that is the issue. Thanks for sharing.

I ordered the replacement part online. The pouch contains two stoppers. One rubber (black) and one vinyl (white) My Honda Civic 2003 is automatic so no clutch pedal. Which stopper do I use for the brake pedal ?
