He was the real deal and for those who say he got destroyed by barrera yes he lost fair and square but it was late in his career and he was to small at that weight.

Hamed's toughest fight wasn't Barrera as most probably think. He had a fight in which he was in trouble and I believe he would have lost, had it not been for something unusual happening. The fight was against Augie Sanchez. Sanchez left the ring on a stretcher that night, hit very hard with a KO punch to end the fight. At one point Sanchez hurt Hamed badly and was chasing him along the ropes while Hamed tried to steady himself. Sanchez had good power and was a hell of a fighter. He beat Floyd Mayweather in the amateurs. He had no trouble with Hamed's style and he came out throwing heavy shots. What saved Hamed from what I believe would have been certain defeat, was a fluke situation and technically it was a foul. Naz got hit and was reeling, the referee stepped between the fighters and just then Naz, who was on one side of the referee, jumped around him and hit Sanchez with a hard shot to the chin. Sanchez didn't see the punch at all, and Naz should have been penalized because the referee was between them so Naz shouldn't have thrown that punch. It was a bit confusing, Sanchez was hurt badly by the punch and he never recovered from it. Naz landed another hard shot under awkward circumstances again, and Sanchez was in a lot of trouble at that point. Soon after he was KO'D. If Naz hadn't jumped around the referee and hurt Sanchez with that first shot, I believe he would have won the fight. Naz was hurt at that time and Sanchez was fresh and ready to go until he got hit. The fight was in England so they weren't going to penalize Naz but otherwise, if the fight had been here in the U.S., it would have had a different ending.

Another ‘ bum ‘ hamed beat . Ingle was a 21-0 champion at this point with 15 knock outs and hamed was past his peak.
