How to tighten bumper gap. How to adjust front bumper. Slight notching to really get the bumper fitting tightly and nicely up against the grill surround

I just did mine yesterday, I left the brackets attached and adjusted the 4 holes on each mount instead. The gap looks just like yours too. 👌

I’m curious if the adjustment u needed could have been accomplished if u had swapped the left and right brackets instead of notching them? Curious to know but I have that same gap on my Lightning so I will investigate and let y’all know

Hey man, just a quick question. Do you have rear discs? And if so were they stock or did you do a conversion? Because I currently have an 8.8 with drums and wanted to have discs

Yes I have disks. 2000+ should have rear discs from the factory

@@Patman03sprcrw I guess mine wasn’t lucky enough to have those 🙃 I have a 2000 but it also has the 4.2. I’m sure it wouldn’t be too tasking just to get a rear end from a disc truck and swap them out

@@romansoldier1643 might have been 2001. I could have sworn it was 1997-1999 that has 12mm studs and drums, and 2000-2004 that had 14mm studs and disks

@@romansoldier1643 but yea swapping axles isn't bad, just make sure the donor is a 8.8 and same ratio, you might even get lucky and get an upgrade to a LSD at the same time

@@Patman03sprcrw your close to right. 99 was the last year off 12mm studs and 00 the first for 14mm. 99 was the 1st year of the disc brake rear on 8.8 . You can find the disc brake rear option on 4.6 trucks 99 and 00 with a axle code of I9. All F150 after 00.5 came with disc brakes.

Could you tell me where I can find the bumper valance you have. It looks like it bolts to the original steel bumper. Any information as to where I can find it or link or web site is appreciated.
