In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 1999 Chrysler Town and Country Limited AWD. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this van while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this van designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

I still daily drive mine...same year as this. 235,000 miles other than basic maintenance & still going strong. We have 3 other vehicles but this van is reliable & drives amazing! Don't believe I'll ever sell her...just drive it till the wheels fall off! 🤣

Can you believe this car was 12 years old with 164,000 miles?! I mean, all the original badging is still there! The paint is in great shape, no scratches anywhere! The interior is in amazing shape! She’s a beauty!!!

It's so weird watching this review! My family's owned one of these for years, exactly like the one in the video, same model year and everything. I grew up with it, learned to drive with it, and it's what I still drive if I have to go somewhere. It's easy to drive. Hard to park, though, and the driver's seat visibility leaves much to be desired. Nonetheless it's not a bad vehicle at all, and seeing how enthusiastic Kyle is about it is pretty great XD

My mother bought a van just like this except it's a base model or LX model. It's a great van powered by the 3.3L V6 that has 202435 approximate miles. Still running strong.

I've seen some vans that have gotten to at most 310,000 miles. And I hope so too. I'd buy a van like my mother's but I don't have much of a purpose for a van so I'll just stick to my little escort for now. It does the trick. Lol.

I have a gold (beige) color of this exact model with the 3.8L and has been very reliable, just hit over 150k now, the only difference it that it has no heated seats or AWD and the leather seats look different.

I still have my 1997 Caravan. This model looks still great even today. I placed LED accent lighting in the front and rear (Audi style). My van has 185K miles and no major problems. I don`t drive it as much since I have other cars. But, still original paint. I`ve used it to haul 4' x 8' wood panels, hauled queen size Mattress. It`s a great all around vehicle. I`m keeping mine as long as I can, going almost 20 years strong.

It was the 1999 gold limited And we had it up on till has year when she was in a bad car accident and the car was throw into a parking lot across the road and she came out with no scratch. Now we have the 2008 town & country limited and love it. This is a good van we never had to get repair on Any major parts only the a/c. Thnx Kyle this brought back great memories.

Well, so far you have a 1st gen Durango, a 2nd Gen Dakota, a 2nd Gen Ram, a 1st Gen Concorde, and a 3rd Gen minivan, now all you need to complete your Chrysler Cab Forward Tour Collection is a 1st Gen Viper, a 1st gen Sebring Convertible, and a 1st Gen Stratus!

I noticed it. I have a '99 Limited (not AWD) but have an extended roof top with TV, cabinets, lights, etc., and I get around 13-14 in town but I get 23-27 on the highway. I use mine to tow a small trailer hauling an ATV and still get 21-24. This is a really nice, extremely comfortable van with a lot of room. If you aren't taxiing around a lot of passengers, it's extra nice if you remove the middle seats.

i liked these vans back in the day. i remember i used to have a scale model of this when i was a kid. it was made by maisto if i remember correctly and i remember being really fascinated by the design. this seems to be a pretty loaded trim; those options were pretty sweet to have back in 1999, and you can tell this one was taken care of well by the previous owner(s).

Grandparents wanted to get one in 1997-1998 to haul all the grandkids lol, but settled on a Grand Caravan to save a little. I was about 7-8 yrs old at the time

I agree I have a '98 LXi AWD 3.8L gets 21mpg with 249k miles on it w/o the brake shift interlock. I have no problems with it I know the government is trying to require the vehicles as child safe as possible. It's a matter of driver responsibility, I know it sounds old school but, when a person has the keys that person is responsible for anything happening in or to the vehicle.

I hate the way chrysler and dodge have the column shifter on the 2012 vans I prefer the way they did it like on this van, I guess a few years ago they redesigned the body and interior form the former style they used before. I do like how the newer ones have the bucket seating that can be folded into the sto n go under the floor and power doors.

It was very comfortable and it never let them down. An uncle used to have a 1990 XL with almost no options but it had the 3.0 liter engine and had always been reliable. Its replacement (a 2000 Windstar SEL) wasn´t as reliable, the tranny was gone after 110,000 miles Also a friend from college has a 1993 Aerostar LWB XLT 4.0 with 230,000 miles

We own the lower end version known as the Chrysler Voyager. Reminds me a lot of that car haha. The Voyager also has a SWB compared to the LWB of the T&C. And the Voyager is twice as plasticky. Nonetheless, the only concern with these vans is the lack of brake-shift interlock and gen 3 seatbelts.

@Lukeschedel Aerostars were good vans, just a little old fashioned even for the 90s. But those and Chevy´s Astro were the only mini vans at their time which could actually tow. They were also based in RWD platforms so they were actually more rugged than competitors. They were also reliable, specially with the 4.0 V6 So I wouldn´t say Aerostars are shit.
