Man these old Lexus models are goal asf, RWDs and big engines. I mean they are still fun till this day, but the old ones are generally more affordable

@@beastfromtheeast9318 This is only true if you do literally zero maintenance and if your engine runs like crap, mine is at 380k miles and never had a problem with that, simply because I take such good care of it and as a Toyota technician I replace all kinds of shit just for fun because I can. I've seen a rare few 400s burn or leak oil but they were all clapped out. All about the care you take

I got Borla dual pipe on my GS 400 it sounds good. Mine might sound a lil better probaly cause its broken in. Had it on for 11 years now, sounds beautiful .

My friend and I replaced the front Y-pipe on my 95 LS400 and in the interest of cost (but also some fun) we fabricated a 2.5” single exhaust since the whole system was rotted in different spots. We did add a small resonator and went with a cheapo Flowmaster 10 knock off muffler to finish. Very nice balance of some V8 rumble and minimal cabin drone. Of course in the name of science we had to see what it sounded like straight piped from the cats back and I agree the mighty 4.0 V8 raw exhaust is obnoxious noise with no tone unlike it’s big american cousins.

I already had a few GS300's recently found me a super clean GS400 because of this video. The clean pull away sound did it for me.

Great sound! Thanks for this video as I have Nissan Fuga 450 GT V8 which is a around the same size as this Toyota. I have spent hours of research looking at many exhaust options. I've settled on the Borla Pro Xs Mufflers and was only on the local exhaust shop yesterday and we discussed putting in an x pipe as well. Your video is timely and so tuned into my thoughts going forward. Thanks from New Zealand

I got a triple black Gs 400 very hard to find I'll never sell it. 160k miles daily driven about 3500 a year. I got the Borla on mine . That GS is clean as hell 🔥 wheels are a little big but it's nice. Paint looks amazing

I have a similar borla muffler and exhaust tip setup on my gs300. Being that it's the 2jz it has a more tamed tone though.
