WFPL from 1960 in Louisville Kentucky. WKPC from 1968 forward. This was before the statewide KET.

There was also KTCI for Minneapolis/St. Paul. Basically, it served as sort of a "Weather Channel" for most of the day, before broadcasting most of the content that could be seen on KTCA during the evenings. It also aired coverage of the Minnesota Legislature when it was in session.

Washington's NET/PBS station is WETA Channel 26,which has been on the air since 1961. The callsign stands for Washington Educational Television (later Telecommunications) Association. Their original offices and studios were at 2600 Fourth Street,NW, but has since moved to Arlington, VA. In 1982, some twenty years after 26 aired,D.C. got a second PBS station in WHMM Channel 32. It was a Public Television station licensed by Howard University. In 1971, HU received the old WTOP-FM 96.3 as a gift from the Washington Post as their campus radio station and named it WHUR (for Howard University Radio). Keeping with the radio station,WHMM (which stood for Howard Mass Media) renamed itself WHUT (for Howard University Television) in the late 1980s.

The songs heard were the NET Ident Theme, the Frontline Theme, The Charlie Rose Theme, and the Nova Theme. And those 3 programs air on PBS, as there are now more than 350 member television stations across the USA. Thanks for this video on its past and present day PBS Stations and its current logos.

The National Educational Television (NET) Ident Theme is composed by Eric Siday, the same composer who gave you the infamous "S From Hell Theme" for Screen Gems Productions.

You're right on, however, We were familiar with Eric Siday's infamous "S From Hell Theme" for Screen Gems Productions (Now successor Sony Pictures Television), which appeared at the end of programs from 1965 to 1974. And the same composer who gave us the infamous theme, was the same man who did the NET Ident Theme from 1968 to 1970, when it became what is now PBS.

It’s because you are from the western side of the Waco-Temple-Bryan market. Most of the market gets KAMU based from College Station.

I really love the song when it goes like chiming sounds, at 1:13. (PBS Frontline) Also, my local station WUSF (Now WEDQ taken by WEDU) signed off/shut down in October 2017. I really missed that station, its when I used to watch WUSF kids when my parents take me at a doctors appointment back when I was a young child.

The one used for WCVE in the 1990s was in use well before 1994. They had a "23/57" logo that incorporated an eagle's head in the early/mid 80s, but only very grainy footage of it exists on KZfaq

For all intents and Purposes, KUHT is older than WNET (if you go by WNET's time as a Non Commercial Station). WNET does trace itself to WATV (1948)

Nebraska was one of the first states to have a public television station. I live in Lincoln. But I don't watch a lot of PBS. I know my mom used to watch it a LOT.

PBS has logos for each of their stations, which is called "subchannel identification". ITV in the UK and the Japanese Association of Independent Television Stations also do stuff like that. The stations also have their own programs broadcasted locally.

You left out KTSC-TV from 1972 until 1999 for Colorado. It was indepedent from KRMA until 1999.

You got the areas for KLRN/ KLRU incorrect. KLRN was in San Antonio, and KLRU was in Austin.

Hijack of wttw Chicago: in 1987 a man with a disguise hijacked wttw during a tv series/ movie and says stuff and the microphone was too silly and scary then from the end the police came and gave the guy with a disguise a worst day then the movie/tv series came back And that was... the end

Rotten Raspberry After some research i found out that NBC adopted that logo and soon after Nebraska's PBS Station sued NBC for copyright infringement. However Nebraska let them keep the logo. (Or something like that do some research yerself: p)

I found some mistakes: 1.hawaii has northwestern hawaiian lslands dude its real look on google earth 2.theres also staions on American samoa, guam/north Mariana lslands Puerto rico and us virgin lslands 3.pbs is not relesed on 1947 its on 1970 4.some stations had white with text on there

1. I don't get what you mean by that. 2. Yes, and they were added in the remake. 3. It's obvious that before there was PBS, there was NET. 4. That is used if a station existed but no logo has been found. Who doesn't do this? Please do your research.
