People don't realise I think, that it was a massive achievement to get to the top Division for the first time in the 70s. Even now compared to many other clubs, Norwich are relative newcomers to the top two divisions., before the 60s, they were a 3rd and 4th Division club.

Chivers fell out with John Bond and only played a dozen or so games. Very much a journeyman club, mixed with youth at that point.
