Works very well. The mallet is for the fabric; bear that in mind and you won’t damage the beads. You’d have to over-hit the bags. The instructions show a firm hit-but not a wreckless hit. End result is amazing for my brand new Viper Rs.

So I cut and sew my own bags. Can I follow this scenario for softening up the canvas and ultra suede bag materials before adding fill? Does it make a difference?

It would be great if bags came broken in from the manufacturer. It seems like its only a matter of time before that will be the standard.

Or you can just use a vinegar soak and run them through a wash and dry cycle.

when using a mallet i would be afraid of crushing the resin pellets inside into powder.

They won’t pound into powder. They are polymer pellets. Likely polyethylene or polypropylene plastic pellets of some sort.

just curious, whats the difference in throwing them and them smacking into a solid wood board or concrete?

@@davidthompson9665 you’ll wear the beads down while throwing them and they will kind of round into more of a bean but using a hammer with smash them into powder. Completely ruining the bags
