As a 2nd generation cannabis grower in Humboldt I can relate to most of this from a different angle. My angle is from future inside the industry and was taught from an early age from my family that started around the late 70's. I seen the grow industry evolve over the years. Interesting interview but it also helps me understand what killed the industry, greed and legalization ( government over tax).

Wow the amount of money the growers in BC was making off him is insane. He said he was paying around 3200/lb🇺🇲 (4350🇨🇦) for BC Bubba Kush and buying hundreds of them at a time. Even during the height of the Kush craze I was paying max 1600-1800/lb🇨🇦(1200-1325🇺🇲) for AAAA BC Kush from Asians growers and selling for 2400 to guys charging 240/oz. My favorite was SR71 PK cuz it was dark purple, super caked & reeked of gas & grapes 🍇 ⛽ It's going for around 450-700/lb 🇨🇦 nowaday but I'm on parole and out of the business. I wish I had an American plug to supply back then, it's crazy how expensive it was in the USA during the Kush Craze (2006-2011). I have family in Akwesasne that used to smuggle truck loads BC Rockstar (aka Maple Ridge Kush) into NYC where it was sold as NYC Diesel and they made a killing doing so. My one family member Acid Adams went missing while doing so.
