Check out "Britannic: Patroness of the Mediterranean" by the "Titanic: Honor and Glory" guys. You can view her in both her HMHS form as well as her RMS form. Just as the Titanic was more luxurious than the Olympic, the Britannic was to be more luxurious than the Titanic. Her RMS interiors are absolutely gorgeous. I hadn't expected the grand staircase area to be so full of deep, darker, rich colors, so it was definitely a surprise to see it that way.

I just played both HG and POTM. HG is more detailed, has more rooms and slightly better graphics but Britannic actually has the sinking which is good.

In my opinion the britannic is the most beatiful ship i have ever seen and studied even tho its nearly identical on the outside to the sister and the life boat davots makes it look better imo. But the interior is said to be so much better but there are so little about the interior of the civillian service ship

Great vid❤❤❤ I learned quite a lot about the ship, I thought the Olympic class was basically the same but no. I would’ve honestly boarded the RMS Britannic if she ever launched as a Royal Mail Ship. I cant wait for 2nd class next!❤❤❤❤

Great video the first class smoking room was going to be in the federal style I'm just curious was the first class swimming Bath Left installed when the Britannic sank Because I haven't seen a pop-up anywhere in any auction or any place I wonder if there's any information about the swimming Bath in the Britannic fitting sale catalog In 1918 RMS Britannic is my favorite ship as wel Can't wait till the second videol

The Olympic received the same configuration of Titanic’s reception room after her 1913 refit. Her a la carte restaurant was enlarged and revived it’s own reception room too. I think you should do a video explaining all of the changes that Olympic had throughout her career which made her a much more superior ship than her own sister the Titanic.

Titanic was still, in my opinion, better. The main thing are the larger B deck cabins with private bathrooms that trump Olympic's by a long shot. Though I consider Britannic amenities to be better than both

@@bibblyboing You should know that large suites with private bathing facilities were installed in the forward section of Olympic’s promenade in early 1929. These suites were larger than the ones of Titanic and they all featured their own bathrooms being decorated in popular styles. The severe increase in private bathrooms, which quadrupled thorough out Olympic’s life and the adittion of new Public rooms and upgrades in all calses made Olympic better than Titanic by far.

Thank you for this video. Very well done and researched. I don't think or can remember anyone comprehensively doing this other than Mark Chirnside. Keep up the great work and certainly looking forward to parts 2 and 3. The other thing I read is that almost all of Britannic's first class staterooms had a private bath, and or access to one, and there was an elevator fitted in the aft grand staircase, is that true per your research? Thanks again!!!.

Honestly just a theory, they probably re added the forward portion of the B deck prom in order for passengers to notice there well deck looking over the 3rd class well deck as on titanic the only way to access it was to go and take the forward passenger corridors and opening a door to it and its probably Easley forgotten as only the passengers who occupied the cabins there will be the only ones to likely notice its a deck of theres.

I watched video with my uncle and he did when he did to me when I was 12. great video, last time he did something like that was when he had his van! But now my dad is mad at him :(. All Uncle Terry did was Mole Test me or something like that, idk. Edit: Uncle Terry is now wanted by the police cause of this video, thanks a lot :( at least Uncle Terry can known about the Britannic while he is on Death Row Edit 2: He is now one the run from the law but still had time to Mole Test me! Thanks Uncle Terry. Funny my pastor always mole tests me too, maybe I have a mole? Edit 3: What is rapping? The police say that is what Uncle Terry did. Is he cool rapper like Biggie?

Britannic was designed to compete with the German Superliners. Although Britannic was lost in ww1, the White Star Line purchased one of the German Superliners was indeed a smart, ingenious move. But their Rivals The Cunard Line bought A German Superliner as well, so the problem continued, but not as strong since America has the now renamed SS Leviathan (prohibition of alcohol in America), the White Star Line only had to prove their ex-German Superliner was superior than Cunard's.

What a lovely and indepth dive! I think I prefer how most of the rooms looked before the changes Britannic had, except for the swimming pool. The stained glass windows in the dining saloon...are those the ones James Cameron found in tact when he had the robots investigating? When Jake got stuck.

Very enjoyable and well illustrated video! It's worth pointing out though that there isn't such a thing as "Gregorian Style" as in "Gregorian Chant." I assume you mean "Georgian Style" pronouned with soft G's such as in the name "George" or "gentle"

BTW are you going to cover the other two Britannics at some point? The first was SS Britannic (1874-1902). And the third was MV Britannic (1930-1960, the last White Star liner in commercial service)

What if britannic made it to service during ww2? Maybe even the 50’s as a cruise? If it survived the mine then it could probably be docked like queen Mary as a hotel

Likely not. Aquitania was in that exact situation and was scrapped due to her age and the wear of her machinery.

@@Perrywinkle3750 The thing is, Queen Mary had a career after the war. Aquitania and Britannic would have been around 30 years old and outdated. The reason why Queen Mary was saved is because she was around at the right time when she was retired and sent to Long Beach and I highly doubt there would be goodwill to converting an old and outdated Britannic into a hotel ship.

An ocean liner ship in that era can only have 4 endings. If it sailed to the part of the ocean with icebergs then she'll sunk like her sister Titanic. If this ship didn't get hit with a mine considering that this is a hospital ship sailing to war she will be hit with a torpedo by a german uboat if non of those said happen the ship will continue to transport passenger & soldiers until she became old & will be scrapped by Whitestarline her company for money.
