It's Valentine's Day & the 2nd Anniversary of ‪@ChateauLove‬ ! Where have we been? It has been a year of chateau renovations, travel to incredible places like French castles, Venice, Egypt and more. We reunited with old friends and made new chateau vlogger friends, too. It has been the most extraordinary year!! What were the best and worst moments? It"s my first ever Question & Answer!

Hello! I’m Vivienne, the châtelaine of a small 19th century neo-Renaissance castle in the Loire Valley of France, which I share with my delightful (and wonderfully funny!) husband, Simon, our daughter, and -whenever possible- lovely friends and family.
This is not our first chateau! 23 years ago, we bought a much larger castle nearby, which we loved with all our hearts. However, nearly 2 decades, many happy memories, countless renovations, and several small fortunes later, we made the very difficult, empty-nesting decision to downsize. With great luck and perseverance, we found our current petit château, which we are now decorating and updating with love, humour, comfort, and -of course- antiques and art!
We adore France and its many unique facets: its people, culture, landscapes, wine, food, art, and history. We also love being surrounded by châteaux, both public and private, which we can explore together! After 20 years here, we have learned many things about living in France, renovating châteaux, and appreciating the extraordinary riches surrounding us. We originally decided to make these videos as a way to share our lives with our loved ones worldwide during the pandemic lockdowns. However, we soon realised that many others are at home alone, and it is our privilege to open our home to you, our new friends. We hope you will join us on our adventures in this exceptional location, and we look forward to sharing a little Château Love!

Oh Vivienne it was so lovely seeing you enjoying spending time with your sister. The "year in review" of the amazing videos we have all enjoyed these past 2yrs. You certainly had a very full on time making the vlogs and editing them on top of renovating and decorating. Then the travels in between. We all have been wondering where you have been since December never thinking you were back in hospital and what a beautiful hospital at that. It would certainly inspire its patients to get well to be able to appreciate its gorgeous artworks before going home. I do hope you are able to continue with your vlogs when you are back to normal life as we do enjoy both you and Simon's sense of humour and your enthusiastic home decorating. This was a wonderful surprise! I really enjoy you and Simon and the family, all you do, experience and create. So often, I looked for a vlog saying you were well and completely "back" and with us again. Thank God you are on your way and surrounded by love and excellent (and regal!) care! I am very excited to see the new channel and store. I am so happy you're feeling better, Vivienne. Having your lovely sister near helps, and she did great in this Q & A. It was good going down memory lane. The hospital is incredible. I am sure you are in the best of hands. Many years ago, my cousin developed blood clots in her lungs. She lives in the city of St.John's, Newfoundland. The doctors could not find out why she was getting blood clots. She had a 3 year old baby then. The Doctors in St. John's sent her to Toronto, where she kept getting the blood clots still. They ended up getting a surgeon to come from France. He saved her, and she got her life back. So I have the great of faith that you're in the best of care. It really is so good to have you back. We got to get all the chateau owners back for a big do. You have to top notch this every year now.
