I'll go first:
I'm Kaela, a Homeschool Graduate turned Homeschool Momma. My husband & I have 3 girls.
We are a Latino family, living our best life in a little 1930s fixer-upper in Texas.
Although we are a family of faith, we typically stick to secular resources in our homeschool.
I love homeschooling, pretty books, dance breaks, and turning my humble abode into a home.

I love this! My first grader is also doing AAR and supplementing with Dash Into Reading and we have the Handwriting too!

Hi Kaela, I love your line up! My son thoroughly enjoyed Beowulf's Grammar, that was a lot of fun ☺️ I bought a lit study from lithouse learning and very much looking forward to jumping in to it! Thanks for sharing your curriculum picks!

I feel like with learning to read...variety is the spice of life. haha! We're also using AAR but I definitely find it helpful to pull in other readers or phonics resources just to throw in some reinforcement and variety.

How long do your girls do like Sit down school work each day?

My 4th grader needs about 3-4 hours a day and my 1st grader is about 1.5-2.5 hours a day

This is my first time watching any of your videos..May I suggest you to show the actual content of the curriculum you're talking about? I'm new to homeschooling and this wasn't very helpful to me. Just saying 🤷‍♀️

Thank you for the feedback! I have separate videos showing the content of most everything mentioned here. I don't typically show a lot of that in these "curriculum picks" videos, as it would make them very, very long. I prefer to give very detailed & thorough looks inside the resources in individual videos. I also have playlists so you can search by subject or grade level to see more detailed flip through videos and review videos. Let me know if there's anything specific that you want a more detailed look at... If I don't have the video already, I'm happy to add it to my list for upcoming videos 😊 Additionally, you can always DM me on Instagram for photos of any book or curriculum or resource.
