Solid. Bottom branches first priority, open a face , prune as you walk around the tree on terrain like that.

GOSH OUR MEN ARE HEROS. HARD GRAFT. Meanwhile our loony left feminists call us loses and rubbish. Where would our families be without these MEN working their arses of to make our world better, wealthier, and economically feasible.. And they take a wage home and without batting an eyelid, share, support, house, feed and lovingly give to their whanau/spouses. Good on you guys. You are the heros, not the nutters in dresses on Ponsonby road telling us they are ( poor souls).I am proud of our men who demonstrate sacrifice thru hard graft. Ka rawe.

Totally impressive and educational as well. My small pine tree farm in Montana will benefit from your technique. ❤

Just different strengths aye bro. I'm not sure what it's like now but man I use to struggle more with the weight of the saw limbing logs. Falling them yeah! Awesome! Limbing them when they on the ground. Nahh! Lol!

At Herbert, fifteen minutes south of Oamaru, there's a new plantation right by the road that is going to be a nightmare for the first pruners because of all the gorse growing among the trees. The gorse showed up after the original plantation was harvested and was well established by the time the new radiata plantings had started to grow.

Had a case study done on a crew I was working for in Tokoroa for Carter Holt Harvey. They said a days pruning was the same as running a 42k marathon. That's a crazy comparison if you think about putting a good days pruning in five days a week!

We had a man doing roadside trees for us on the saw. Not my area of expertise but man it was good to watch. I've got a video of it too thanks to Mike who's over the East Coast now.

It's done to produce clearwood. Pruned at a young age depending on the trees growth.

All day? Yeah he does well but for the week? That's a bit harder. Personally I use to just try and be consistent with pace and quality throughout the day. I know when I was this fellas age I use to go like a bat out of hell too! I don't prune as much now so I'm beyond slow lol!
