Welcome back Daniel. I really appreciate and respect your passion for “what really matters”, and not just being a drummer that shows up on Sundays. Personal worship to the Lord is our main goal, not just being a drummer. Also, any resources/channels you recommend for advice on setting up live sound for band and mixing? I also use Logic. Not bad for not having played drums in months. The kit sounds really good. I always hated sharing drumsets. I like the kit set up a certain way and the other drummer from the other service likes it another way. I have learned that it pays to be flexible and not get mad when sharing the drums. I just add to the kit when I need to.

For heating your studio, you might look into kerosine heaters. We have one that we use in our garage, and have used to heat our house during several ice storms.

I guess its a worship drummer thing to go really early to church! I like to go to church like 2 hrs before service to pray and make sure the drums are ready to go before we even rehearse some of the songs! I hate to be late im usually the first one there 😊🙌🏽

I had one of those I setup for a WL at a local church except it was momentary. This way once he released it, he was back into the house. Less chance of messing up and being on the wrong channel. You have to purposely step on the switch to talk to music team.

Ya, pros and cons for sure. He spends most of his time on the talkback feature, but if he switches it’s usually for a long period of time, like to lead a song, so holding it down would be more of an inconvenience, especially since it’s mounted where he has to use it by hand (and he can’t really have it on the floor like a guitar pedal since he has to constantly use the sustain pedal as a keys player.)

Honestly, I’ve never tried it. I always record into my phone or an external recorded like a Zoom H4N and then sync it in post in Final Cut Pro.

Multitrack off of the front of house board. Most all digital boards have the ability to multitrack the entire board into the DAW of your choice.
