Ive been back and forwards on this. I have a couple of barber haulers(a little oversized and heavy) that I tried rigging with a control line through the forward deck eye back to the cockpit. And a second control line on the hauler to pull inboard attached to a cleat on the opposite side deck (temporary trial). It seems like my deck was sprawling with lines. How would you rig it? interested to know.

@@theincompetentcrew Difficult to be prescriptive without actually seeing what deck hardware is already fitted/available too anchor it to, but a single hauler could be used to control the twist in the same way that a car would be moved forwards or aft. If necessary, an additional hauler could be used to haul the sheet inboard if you need a closer sheeting angle but with Guinevere’s classic hull form, I don’t think she’d benefit from too tight an angle. As a rough guide, the angle of the sheet should line up with the mid-point of the luff of the sail. May I suggest more halyard tension too? It sounds though, as though you’ve already tried most of that!

@@ianhorne8144 Ahh, I think 've mentioned this in a different video. I had more tension initially, but with more tension the top swivel was performing very poor. Hoping to correct this with a modern torsion line. when I opened the swivel to check/grease the bearings, also found they were shot, so have ordered new bearings and races. Have also ordered a better furler that can take higher tension without damage (I hope). Its in customs right now.
