Been on mounjaro since last march was 244 now Im 170! Goal was 180 i couldn’t have done it without this medicine

Mounjaro has changed my life so much I’ve been on it 6 months currently on 15mg only downside I’m experiencing side effects is constipation nothing else but my weight has dropped tremendously was 523 February 2023 now I’m 393 as of today nov 21st !! And that includes eating less and Gym 5 days a week

Hey Kay, it’s good to hear your honesty about your experiences with Mounjaro. Type 2diabetic here, just started MJ, on my 3rd dose Sunday, lost 16 lbs so far, the diarrhea is real, but I’m getting use to the urgency to go, it’s subtle, but when it’s even the slightest, I’m making tracks. I am 68y/o and did every diet on the web. Lose it, gain it back. This time with MJ, I’m eating about 4-6 oz. of lean protein with real vegetables and not a lot of food. Real food, nothing processed. I find I leave food on the plate. NO desserts. Went stone cold on sugar intake about a month before going to the endocrinologist to get my prescription for MJ. Waited 3 weeks before I received my supply. So I know I will not be able to afford the MJ eventually. So I’m training myself how to eat so when that day comes and I’m hoping to stay as slim as possible. From 320 to 304 so far. Diabetic2 for 14 years. The best thing that I do? I police every freaking thing I put into my mouth. It’s the only self control I can follow through with. Forget about the snacks and junk foods. I hope this helps someone. I have went through stages of being overweight all my life. Weighed as much as 425 lbs. I think I’m onto something,?at least it works for me and it could help you too. I bet in your experience as a nurse, you’ve seen bariatric patients gain all their weight back, it’s because they still love to eat. Eat enough to get by, practice eating 2 small meals a day in a 4 to 6 hour window. You will get results if you stick to it and drop the sugars and carbs and sodas. Just my experience that I’m passing on to whoever reads my comment.

Absolutely love your honestly. I start mine as soon as my pharmacy receives the order they placed for the 2.5. (hopefully today or tomorrow). I need to lose 75 lbs. 🙏 For all of us who are striving for a better life physically and mentally ❤

Thanks for sharing your experiences. Moumjara has been a lifesaver for me. 20 years on Prednisone destroyed my metabolism. There is no way I was going to lose weight solely thru diet and exercise. I've lost 50 lbs in 7 months. My energy level has surged as the weight has dropped off. I'm back to a rigorous exercise regime, which was impossible with all the weight. I'm so happy for you. I just started Wegovy. 3 weeks in and I am just starting to feel a difference in the amount that I eat. Only 3lbs down so far, but it's a start. No side effects so far. I'm also happy that you mentioned the coupon. No one tells people about it on other videos and I was about to do a quick video to help spread the word! I took the coupon to the pharmacy and they had not seen it before. So that means no one is using it!! The pharmacy had a problem processing it because they didn't know how to process it. So I called the Wegovy hotline after I left and they directed me to the reimbursement form and they will reimburse me the copay. The hotline also said next time call them while at the pharmacy and they will tell the pharmacy how to process it. The rep also congratulated me on the insurance and said I should get the 3 mos supply since the copay will now be $0 with the coupon. They will pay up to $225 of your insurance copay as long as it is not a government issued insurance(like medicare, etc.). I'm blessed that my insurance copay is only $25 but they will cover it so I end up paying nothing. God is good!! I have a friend that just started the compounded semaglutide, so I'm happy to have a buddy to do this journey with. I wish you the best on your journey !

Hi Nurse Kay, first time seeing your channel. I have been on Monjoro since April 2022 and I have lost 60 pounds. Feeling really good about that. Almost at my goal weight. The side effects that I have experienced are constipation and hair loss. I can handle constipation but it's tough when comes to losing my hair. Im still on 7.5 loosing about 2-4 pounds a week. I started Mounjaro back in October 2022. As of May 2024, I’m down 65 pounds, A1C was 5.3 at my last blood panel. I’m still on the drug but I don’t inject weekly at this point, I do every other week and I’ve maintained the weight and A1C levels.

Mounjaro changed my life as well it helped me lose 75 pounds. But I’ve gained back a lot since I’m no longer on it and I’m pregnant 🤰🏽 I definitely look forward to getting back on it after I’m done breastfeeding 🤱 my baby.

Congratulations on your weight loss. I have been on Mounjaro for 285 days. I was losing 2 pounds a week and then suddenly stalled and then regained about 12 pounds. I was shocked. I increased my dosage to 7.5 and I am back down 8. Just curious if you ever stalled on your journey? Dosages are 2.5, 5.0, 7.5, 10.0, 12.5 and 15.0. I had IBS and Mounjaro made me regular I was so happy but I did have some constipation once and it was horrible. I used Miralax and it was better in about 3 days. Some other side effects - I am tired the day I take the injection and the next day and then it goes away. I also have times when I feel cold. It comes and goes and I have learned to just accept it as a side effect. Experienced some burping but again it does not last long. Thanks for your great channel. I also love this medication. The drug is a game changer.

I'm glad you don't have to have that surgery the one thing that people don't realize obviously but don't have a weight loss issue or possibly have never walked in these shoes is it's not all the medicine because an individual still has to do the work to get the goals and maintain their milestone CHANGE. 🙌🏽 Even if an individual has surgery, that's not an easy process. Real work starts after the surgery. And that's another story. It's unfortunate that these medications are marked up so high that some people that need it. Unfortunately, they're not able to buy it out of pocket nor will their insurance carrier assist to pay for it.

I was at 51.8 lbs in October but gained 8 lbs due to stress from taking care of my terminally I’ll mother in law. My daughter discussed Zepbound. I told her that I want to think about it after one complete year on a Wegovy. She says the weight loss percentage is higher with Zepbound. Thanks for sharing!

Was on Ozempic for two years. No weight loss. Been on Mounjaro for about 6 months. I've lost 1lb. I'm on 7.5. I am T2. For me, as a diabetic, these meds have not worked for weight loss. I've seen moderate decreases in A1C.

I was 105kg during pregnancy. Now at 74kg, lost 31kg with diet, exercise and intermittent fasting. I have 24kg to go and as a T2D whose eligible for this, all the obeae people took this for WL purposes. So i have to purchase it online, gp said there's a shortage. I thought id try this out for my diabetes and see if I lose anything as a bonus, coz i could easily do it as before but my pancreas ain't working properly hence i need to check this out.

Main reason why I think there is a shortage of Mounjaro, because a lot of people are taking it without having type 2 diabetes. It takes away from people with diabetes that need the medication.

Hi, can you do a video on the things you ate while on the medication please? I start Zepbound tomorrow! Same as you been working out for years havent lost any more than 30 lbs and that was 20 years ago. My body needs something else and I beleive this might be it.

I wish that people with diabetes could access it regularly. I have a valid prescription, but some individuals who only want it for cosmetic reasons are using up the available supply. It has helped improve my A1C much more than Ozempic. I didn't experience any side effects with either medication. I walk at least 4 miles once a week, do CrossFit, and work out with a trainer twice a week. In total, I have been consistently working out for 2 years and have lost a total of 35 pounds in about 5 months. The highest dosage I've used is 0.75mg. Good luck to everyone.

At a price of you lose more muscle mass that fat loss itself so you have to be careful and I advise weight training to retain your muscle mass your losing !! That’s what keep you strong .. medication alone don’t just fix it as a whole!! Apply strength training

Quick question; you mentioned comorbidities as a dangerous combination with this drug and thyroid issues was one of the diseases you mentioned. I have Graves Disease, but was told by my primary doctor that this particular condition wasn't a problem. Should I get a second opinion? It's well controlled, and I know my weight compounds the problem. Not worth damaging my health though.

Has anyone experienced hair loss taking Mounjaro? I have also experienced flabby skin and irritation where I inject the medication on the 10mg of Mounjaro. I had to go back to the 7.5mg,and I still have an appetite on this dosage.

I'm on week 5 starting the 5mg dose...recently diagnosed Type II Diabetic... lost 8 lbs in 4 weeks on the 2.5 dose... Changed my diet completely and am getting better at making exercise a priority. I've had an ok experience, but for the 1st two days after the shot.. It makes me 'go' A LOT... 😂😂... smh... But I haven't had any too bad side effects as a result so far...and my A1C is improving...

In my very first month taking 2.5 mgs per week with strict keto and cardio I lost a whopping 42pounds! My family Doctor Who prescribed this medicine was astonished! So there’s a high probability that there are a lot of people that will be extremely responsive and sensitive to the medication so keep that in mind!! My doctor shared with me, the dangers of losing too much weight too fast, so I probably won’t be doing that again …

You should put a head phone warning just before your intro hits, just about blew my ear drums out. Your mic volume is too low and that music was WAY too high. On that note I'm on week 3 of zepbound I've lost about 10 lbs so far. The appetite impression is pretty crazy. Only side effect is first few days after a higher dose or starting the medicine you get indigestion since you have food sitting in your digestive track for a lot longer. Also a lot of gas. But other then that no issues. Feel great. 247 down to 237 now. I walk 5-10k steps a day and work out hard at the gym once a week doing weights and cardio.

Hello, I come from Germany and thank you for your video. Please excuse me, I have to write everything with a translator as I don't speak your language well. Here in Germany everyone is going crazy. Doctors, media - everyone. The mood is not good regarding Wegovy, Ozempic and Mounjaro. Wegovy is hardly available here anymore and is always sold out in pharmacies. Ozempic has not been available in pharmacies for months. That's why the mood is so bad - it is seen as a lifestyle drug and people with obesity take the drug away from others. People like Elon Musk and Kardashin who "promote" it ensure that the media rejects the drug. My doctor is good and I've been taking Mounjaro for 2 weeks now. Mounjaro is not yet available as a pen in Germany. You have to draw it up into a syringe yourself. There is only Wegovy and Ozempic as a pen, but as I said, it is almost never available. How much does Mounjaro cost you? Here it costs 260 euros for 4 weeks, or about 280 dollars. I've heard it's very, very expensive in the US.

Doctor prescribed the M 2.5 starting because if my type 2. I am at 270lb. I just want to control my sugar levels I don’t want to loose that much weight. I don’t have the money to replace all my wardrobe. I don’t mind 10-20lbs but no more than that.
