So here we are; 1upBinge, doing a Conker’s Bad Fur Day Good To Evil. An awesome game on the Nintendo 64. One that we still don’t understand how the studio green lit.
Well, it started in 1998, when Rare decided that they were getting too much hate for their kiddy platformer “Conker’s Twelve Tales”, and scrapped the entire project... and created a new game.
And what a game that was…
One of the riskiest and unique titles on the N64, it was that game that we had to play when our parents weren’t looking. A game so violent and mature, it required two warnings on the front of the box saying that it wasn’t for kids.
But among the over-the-top characters… Who was the most good and who was the most evil?

My mind was blown when I found out this game only has three voice actors. One that voices all the female characters, a professional opera singer who voices the Great Mighty Poo, and the third that voices the rest of the male characters. Essentially a South Park situation.

Tbf, the objective concept of death isn't really good nor evil. It is just.. way of the nature. The means with which the death can be delivered, that is where the evil resides.

Makes sense Conker himself is in the grey area. He isnt really evil but his greed can get the better of him at times. He does help those people in the game but again his greed shows alot in this game. He does have a heart well to an extent. But does he luv beer and money more? MMMM probably IDK.

You know a world is weird when the grim reaper is one of the more helpful characters out there. One that would be interesting is Bioshock Good to Evil; because a lot of peoples' morality change the longer they're either in a reverse fishtank or have their head in the clouds. Some start with decent intentions yet their lack of compassion lead them down a destructive path like Andrew Ryan. And some start out selfish yet come to regret what they did, like Brigid Tenenbaum. I at the very least think that the thumbnail should be this: the good would be Jack Ryan, because he only killed the splicers to survive and because he was made to kill Andrew against his will, and yes, canonically, he saved the little sisters. In neutral would be perhaps Booker DeWitt. He was on the verge of making himself bankrupt due to gambling which would have affected his daughter, and only got out of it by giving his daughter away. But he takes no pride in the wars he took part in and even went so far as to sacrifice his memories of her to get her back. In evil would be Yi Suchong; unlike Brigid, he was nasty from start to finish, slapping one of the Little Sisters and making our character snap a puppy's neck.

The sequel was to be named "Conker's Other Day" from what I've read. It was scrapped before any progress was made. To be fair, it's kind of a miracle that we got BFD in the first place.

The Panther King is totally evil, especially when you lose all your lives and get the table leg ending. When he places his milk on the table, he says he won’t spill his milk anymore, implying Conker is under the broken table leg (he actually is). We can’t see what is under the table, but after the Weasels tell the Panther King they won’t get the duct tape anymore... BOOOOOOM! The camera zooms under the table to show Conker tied up under the broken table leg. On the N64, you can see that he looks very bummed and depressed, and even... worried. However, on the Xbox version, the camera zooms in to show him gagged with duct tape and crying. You can see that he is literally terrified and not okay with this. One lame thing, if Conker was gagged with duct tape, why did the Weasels say they won’t be getting duct tape?

I think you definitely ranked Mr Bee to harshly. Sure he cheated on his wife but there's no way you can say he's more evil than Buga the Knut, someone who watched dinosaurs eat cavemen for fun and tried to kill conker.

I love how each section of the game takes references from the 70's-early 2000's and interweave them beautifully into the story. It's not references for the sake of it, but rather the references are used as a form of execution of the story via jokes from said references. I cannot help but applaud the writers. They deserve more love for the care they executed the comedic story with them so carefully. They took them, made great jokes and made a memorable story out of it. This game is the king of parodies as they made something new with them. The way they made so many fleshed out characters despite these references being the reason MOST of the characters that exist. It's clever. The voice actors are also wonderful. The 3 of them did fucking amazing.

I know it's against Nintendo policy for a game like this nowadays. But I WISH they knew how much revenue they'd make by allowing a new Conker game, completely fresh to come to the switch. Or even just a port for the original n64 game. But a new refreshed game would be very welcome. I'm sure 99% of people pay attention to what they are buying and if their kids are buying it. Imagine a brand-new Conker game set like 15 years down the road from the original. I'd be pissing all over the place with excitement.

@@zeospark9715 Revali was a jerk in general heck his descendant knew that he wasn't the best guy around. Also I put Astor over Calamity Ganon in terms of evil because Calamity Ganon isn't morally aware of his actions and can't tell the difference between right and wrong, Astor on the other hand knows full well that what he's doing would spell doom for Hyrule and he does what he does anyway just to feed his own ego and lust for power in fact Astor is one of the most evil characters in the entire Zeldaverse being cruel, murderous, manipulative, irredeemable, and just downright evil to the core. also I ranked the blights based on the morality of the champions they fight which is why Windblight Ganon is the least evil of the blights and Waterblight Ganon is the most evil.

the panther king i would have put at the very bottom of the grey/top of the evil. in the grand scheme of things, he's not a very active threat, and his plan is laughable. he doesn't even ever attempt to kill you personally. and sure, he's set up at the big bad in hunting for conker, it's more of a joke the more times you see him. hell, conker isn't even really aware of him existing until the very end. he's still evil, but every one of his subjects outrank him in evilness just because they actually *do* something. he just sits on his lazy ass waiting for ze proffessor to fix his very mundane problem.

@@LucarioBot Ganondorf is indead powerful, weilding a Triforce of Power, being a reincarnation of a destructive deity, and pratically being immortal is good. However, Giygas is literally G-like. His mere presence can corrupt multiple objects, animals, and people, His power is inconcivable, and It had to take going to the past to fight a "weaker" form of Giygas to win. But yeah I would definatly put Ganondorf in the top 10 for sure.

@@TopHatMacadamia ganondorf still ranks higher since this is talking about how powerful they are contextually meaning in comparison to other characters in their own universe including intelligence and resourcefulness as well as influence and ganondorf beats giygas by these rules in fact commander tartar could rank higher than giygas under these rules

@@LucarioBot That can be true, ok I might of been wrong. I do know that, as porky states, he is an "All-mighty Idiot" so you are right about intellegence. The only defense I could give would be how Giygas has a universe/timeline range, while ganondorf only has a country/continent range. But like I said, I could be wrong. We both have our opinions and that is the beauty of conversations. Maybe If they do the video we can see what they think, but that will not matter since we still have our good opinions. It was nice having this discussion with you.

Don Weaso beats up Paulie like Al Capone did in The Untouchables. If anything I say Conker is a Chaotic Good character, Buga is a pure neutral character, and Mr. King Bee is Neutral Evil, I also think he did drugs because his eyes make me think he is or was high. I guess you can say the new true villain of the game is The Don after The Panther King was killed, and Ze Professor was launched into space. But doesn’t being king mean that Conker can do whatever he wants? If anything he can make his home the castle of the land and ask his servants for beer instead of milk. How about Conker’s deeds, best to worst?

Although I respect your decision after playing both I would always pick the remake, the original has worse controls and aiming in the original version I couldn’t even get passed the peeing part in the club. I think that although the original is more nostalgic to me and has the best multiplayer games. The remake is superior as the censorship doesn’t bother me in the slightest.

Yeah. They censored words like sh*t and twat and that would've been forgivable but because censoring them ruined the humor (especially with The Great Might Poo song) it wasn't. However, the improved audio/voice acting, visuals, controls, and including the originally scrapped scenes including the one with the Professor and the Tediz back in the fictional World War II days (hence 15:43) make Live and Reloaded a faithful and worthy remake to Conker's Bad Fur Day. I do wish they didn't replace Conker's iconic blue hoodie with a yellow and blue jacket though.
