Some people go out and enjoy life, more love seeing videos of that, and a few poor sods, are in their dark little basement of their sad and cynical world, trying to feel better about themselves, by giving a thumbs down to anything that sparks happiness, joy and fun.

@@carabiner7999Earlier I saw a video on The Dodo of an emaciated 15lb pup that was in the gutter & it was thought to be dead. Miraculously he survived. Of all the places some 'worse than a troll' *thing* that goes by LordCobi was being as disgustingly awful as the so called "preshidunce" of the hacked & whacked up states. I don't know if you have any interest in learning how far back the KGB/GRU has gone, much less the lengths they go to spread disinformation, around the globe. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qriPaceax9aolqM.html You are either a miserable, self-loathing individual, evil or have a few screws loose. I think some reported him, LordCobi, as you see him being called a pos but not his comment. I don't want to call others names but dang, I had a tough time writing about it w/o doing it. Back to this great event! As I have said often times, if it weren't for KZfaq, I'd never know of this event! I guess that's why it's so bothersome to see such negatives in comments. While listening, I was curious to see what others were thinking & saw a couple of others being grateful for KZfaq. Peace be with you. 🍃🕊🍃

@@robertod.sangalanjr.2343 No offense, I think that DINAGYANG is a great Festival but it is much more ethnic, traditional from the Philippines than this, I was there years ago and I could only participate as a spectator. Both are interesting in their surroundings. However, particularly I would like to participate in a "FOUR HORIZONS", without acrimony, and it is because I feel more identified, I have been a drummer for more than 30 years, that is, since I was very, very young. In the end, sharing with people you hardly know and who have similar love for percussion is really wonderful and musically enriching. Have you done something similar ..? feel every drum beat in the chest, heart and head live is an unique feel

As a percussions player ( g7 though g12) watching this made me emotional. A lot of people think percussion is the easiest position in band when in fact it’s one of the most challenging and important part. As a percussionists you not only have to know your music but that of the entire band. As a percussionist it’s your job to give rhythm balance and structure for others to follow. A lot of times a percussionist will have to improvise

@@nadogrl correct question - i often feel reminded of little children in the kindergarten, arguing fiercely about the question who´s mother is the most beautiful woman in the world... i´m a hobby drummer and in this context i have one special memory from my early days of drumming in the 70s - we sometimes would play on tiny open airs with other hobby bands - one time i was suddenly facing a very serious looking man, wearing a long dark leather coat, flanked by two other guys in the same outfit and they were heading straight at me - felt exactly like high noon! anyway, he came up to me and said: "i heard you´re good - well, we´ll see about that!" turned around and left me... hmmm, what the f....antasy??? i managed to handle it quite well: when we met by the "stage" (usually some farmer´s trailer), i suggested to put our drumsets side by side on that stage - we did that and he wanted to battle it out - but somehow i simply wouldn´t let him, i kept smiling at him, making fun and at the end he couldn´t help smiling himself and it slowly turned into a fun session without loser or winner... :-) we didn´t become friends exactly, but also not enemies, which i find really nice and i´m quite proud of that... :-)

I'm primarily a guitarist but I do percussion too. I notice no discernable difference in enjoyment between the two. They're mostly very different. Sure, there's rhythm guitar that follows the same lines as percussion but going ham on guitar and going ham on drums gives me the same amount of enjoyment. Some of the most memorable times I felt completely at peace was playing guitar and I had a perma grin the whole time. Unfortunately, I was forced out after some dude with a fancy college degree showed back up. I'd been leading music for over 15 years (half my life at the time) and all it took was his fancy college piece of paper for everyone to forget what I'd contributed and mostly never got paid to do for so long. And I haven't touched any of my guitars since 2017. It was devastating. He put me on djembe and ordered me around like I was trash right before I was totally forgotten about. I played it so much trying so hard to impress him just so I could stay around that my hands were one solid bruise. Wasn't enough and into the trash bin I went. I miss it. Haven't felt peace, assurance, and pure joy ever since. But it's better not to be where you're not wanted or appreciated anyway. Took me years to get ok with that. I still stand by teaching myself guitar and not putting myself into a box by making it a college driven career. If I'd gone to college for it, all the creativity would have been drained out of me. I can read chords but not music but I also play, or at least, played by ear and added whatever flare was needed when it was needed. Those times will still be forever special to me.

I am totally blown away with the dedication, time, effort and, of course, money put into this drumming extravaganza and as a bongo player for close to 70 years I absolutely LOVED every moment of it for music and rhythm is the glue that brings everyone together. 😊

Wow! Awesome to hear all those drum voices all in one place. Pretty cool to see moms, dads, granny’s, grandpas, even little kiddos out there drumming a heartbeat! Would have been cool to visit the Netherlands just for that.
