Thank you all for helping me reach 2000 subscribers! It really means a lot to me. As a "gift", I remade my popular video "Different Types Of Railroad Crossing Bells". This version includes more bells, and also explains what Electronic Bells, Hybrid Bells, and Mechanical Bells actually are. Enjoy the video.
I don’t own the music but I do own all the pictures and clips.

My Favorite E Bell has to be the GS Type 3 and My Favorite M Bell is WCH 1st and 2nd gen along with WRRS, Federal Signal, etc.

Kinda surprised you only did one Safetran, given that they had two different generations of mechanical bell, lol. Nice video though! And congrats on 2k!

They actually aren’t generations. They are just the 5 inch and 4 inch versions. The 5 inch ones are the flat bases and the 4 inch ones have the slanted type. They used both models from the 70s into the 2000s.

@@upking9080 From what I've seen, no. The 4 inch base ones appear to have proceeded the 5 inch base ones (at the very least), and I haven't seen any evidence that they were sold alongside each other at any point.

The 5 inch base ones even have a piece cast into their bases to make it easier to mount them on a 4 inch mast.

Interesting. I’ve seen a photo of a Safetran bell in the 1970s with a 5 inch base, so I’m not sure what to think.

@@upking9080 The 2nd Gens were already being made by the late-70s, IIRC, based on what I've observed. The 1st Gens don't seem to have been made much more than half a decade or so, give or take a few years.

I like Hybrid bells and Mechanical bells on CSX River line plus the E bells at Bogota by Cross street those old theres an E bell at CP10 Bergenfield Nj used to have a Mechanical bell now its an E bell Dumont Nj use to have Mechanical bell now E bell both crossing or 3 crossings in Dumont Nj Haworth Nj

I do not live in Australia, but my a couple of my friends bought Westinghouse hybrids off eBay. That’s really the only reason I included them.
