Hi, I have a question, does a smaller port area performs better at 44hz tuning for sq and spl box?

I make port areas at 16 to 18 inches depending on manufacturer specifications I'm running fi and they told me 16 inches of port area you can go as small as 12 but probably less air I don't tune my enclosures 44 hertz I do 32to no more than 38 I like the lower bass

@@ceciljones1248 yeah but let me assist you big enclosure still will play 35hz even with 44hz tuning, but all I was needed was same box I had, I just aded a subwoofer because the box was big so i can fit 2, and now it is monster from 37hz to 44hz and up freq some more

@klaudioshameti6069 there is nothing wrong with that sir all I'm saying is that some subwoofers like fi psi and sundown don't recommend building a enclosure in the upper 40s because the frequency of the subwoofers are in the 30s you can do it for spl but for as daily driving setup I don't recommend it I think it's because of the unloading of the subwoofer if your enclosure is tuned to 44 hertz I would set the subsonic filter no more than 30.to 35 hertz you set it any lower the subwoofer will bottom out because it thinks it is playing in free air

D2s strapped 1 per pair of amps but I have 4x rise so I only clamp 6-7500 watts on music and 8-8400 watts on burps cuz I scope at 0db…
