They played as Mayu Session a couple of times. They decided to make a permanent band and formed Nemophila. Covid hit at this time and Japan had tight restrictions. They played some online only shows but this was their 1st time together playing as Nemophila. Mayu Session played only cover songs as it was not supposed to be a permanent thing. Added to the joy of playing to a crowd was seeing an audience and moving out of Covid. Japanese crowds were still restricted in size and could not yell or move around but they were there. As of now Saki is 33, Tamu 31, Hazuki 28 and Mayu and Haraguchi both 26. Those are all of the top of my head.

Tamu has two young children. Mayu has one. But Tamu does seem to have a kind of maternal role in the band. SAKI is officially the band leader and, IIRC, the oldest member. Tamu is second oldest and seems to be the most grounded and parental in her relationship to the others.

I absolutely love Nemophila’s music. I’m floored by everyone’s talent. I’m a fanboy due to their personalities. Thank you for doing these videos. I hope you venture into other interviews, or documentary type videos. ❤️🌸

Actually, there are 2 Nemophila Moms! Tamu-san has 2 kids now and Mayu-san has 1!

Nemophila makes me cry pretty often. Gacharic Spin and Band-Maid also get pretty emotional onstage sometimes.

This wasn't their first show, but it was the first after Covid with a live audience. I believe earlier shows may not have had Tamu as she was on maternity leave. The whole performance on the blu ray is devastating. Mayu is crying pretty much throughout the whole song and misses a line or two. That's not unusual for her, especially with this song. The most recent live show at Budokan was also very emotional - but that was kind of SAKI's fault (long story).

Im sure this has already been covered but When they first came together it was for just a jam to back up Mayu for a show. She got them all together for what was called Mayu Session. Probably just covers and some cool songs.But maybe someone who was there or knows more about it could recall what all they played. there is a couple phone videos circulating of one of the shows. But anyway it was in front of a audience. It was more like a club or small place. IT went so well they decided todo another show and that was when they decided to be a band and named themselves Nemophila. then Covid hit. They started doing covers on you tube and putting their own songs together in 2020. Played some live streams and then in 2021 played the no audience festival which was called NAONのYAON2021. they have live version of Life, Dissension and Oiran on their you tube from this show. But this show here is the first time they performed all their own songs in front of live crowd. Which the second Oiran live video comes from. You will notice at the end of that video everyone claps but audiences then in Japan still had to wear masks and could only clap. SMH strange times indeed. But yes you can buy this show on bluray. It is very good concert and has some cool behind the scenes too. Shows Tamu showing up with her kids and they had a daycare backstage. This was before Mayu was even pregnant with her child. Hell I'm not even sure if she was even married at this time though I think she was. She even posted a pic on social media back then where the restrictions were somewhat lifted she was able to have her wedding party and the whole band showed up. Picture floating around Mayu had posted. Anyway great reaction again bud. Yes this is cool interview showing how much it meant to them. All the emotion and their desire to be even better their next show. Such a cool band. You ask their ages. I THINK THAT SAKI HELPS MENTOR YOUNG WOMEN GUITARISTS, LIKE AT THE "NAON YAON" GUITAR GIRLS FESTIVAL. IN JAPAN WHEN A MASTER HELPS A NEW STAR ALONG, THEY ARE MANY TIMES CALLED "MOTHER OR FATHER". IF YOU LOOK CAREFULLY, AFTER HARAGUCHI SAID SHE FELT MATERNITY FEELINGS FROM TAMU, THE BODY LANGUAGE FOCUSED RESPECT ON SAKI. SHE WAS THE MOST FAMOSE WITH "MARY'S BLOOD" FOR A LONGER PERIOD, I THINK. IT IS A SUPERBAND WITH ESTABLISHED STARS JOINING TOGETHER BUT SAKI WOULD BE THE MOST FAMOSE, IMO.

I have nothing but respect for TAMU's aggressiveness in playing multiple instruments and playing the role of a mother while playing in a band! Mayu also got married, but I personally hope she will make more strides in the future and concentrate on her band activities for now!
