Boy that feller sure can play that piano. This is my favorite encore song, after 3 hours of raging and dancing ur ass off you leave the show with goosebumps.

And who doesn't love a good major flat7 4 1 on the chorus to bring it home

Ever make Love to this song from the beginning to the end? If not, you should try it. We came together as Page slowly bangs on the 3 reprise chords. Heavy stuff, kids!😏☺️

i really wish someone forced me to learn piano as a kid. i'll mess around with a small MIDI i have sometimes but damn, i cant imagine being able to speak through an instrument like Page or Trey does. Easily a top 5 Phish song for the harmonies and heavy Page feature.

1:38 The sustained note instrumental section of this song is one of my favorite passages of music ever written. From a harmonic standpoint, it has this beautiful major 3/5/7 progression where the sustained note is the major 3rd or 5th or 7th of the next chord it’s about to turn into....genius

agreed. one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. My favorite version is 12/31/95 for Page's part or any from 1992 for Trey's part

I love how complicated Phish is. You come into their comments and see people talking about progressions and timing and stuff I'll never understand I just know "page piano pretty"

That hint of a smile that he shows while playing the high register at 9:20 is my favorite moment

90's PHISH is like 70's DEAD. The greatest band on earth. Perhaps beyond that as well.

If the Dead ever played this well, I never heard it. Cocaine & Heroin destroyed the Dead⚘

I have. Many times. Both bands

@@will3475 you'rqe so correct... Phish is made of MUSICIANS that dabbled in drugs; the Dead were DRUGGIES that dabbled in music. Good day, Lester Bangs.😅
