They work good, just look out for stones. Major could do with investing in stronger gearboxes, but apart from that, they do a good job

What sorta moneys in them lad have you burst a gearbox on it before

Sean O'Hara I would definitely recommend it for the price of them. They perform far better than a flail mower in heavy stuff. They are definitely worth a look at.

kevin o hara theyre far faster than a flail mower, but in heavier stuff the flail leaves a better finish, if youre going too fast with the cyclone it tends to spit it out in lumps

ya we were thinking of buying one and keeping the flail for the heavier jobs. for a lot of the ground we are working on the flail is doing a few jobs, topping, cultivating and leveling ;p. how do you find it with stones and the likes, I taught the gearboxes a bit small and weak on them?

When we bought the Cyclone it was the opposite, the flail mower took a back seat and we kept it for the lighter jobs 😂 once you use the cyclone you'd never use a flail for heavier stuff again.. they're alot better than the flail, although we did come into a problem with a lump of timber, but thankfully it broke the couplings between the gear boxes and didnt do any major damage 😂

Liam Moran what's size is you're one if you don't mind me asking. I find the mulcher isn't great on lite stuff as its inclined to just flatten it with the tractor and is too short then to get nipped

Its the 2.5 meter one. the cyclone doesnt work much better, as it cuts a bit higher than most flail mowers,

Had it on 540 but changed main box for 1000, its the only way to go, far easier on the whole system. Gear boxes are weak in them so a light shearbolt is neaded aswell

Did you bother change to 1000 shaft on tractor or stick to 540?
