The fight with Thor actually flows really well. It looks like they're trading blows at about the same pace as the cutscenes.

I love how Heimdall says, "You don't get to decide my fate," after Kratos had given him every opportunity to walk away. Kratos didn't decide Heimdall's fate, Heimdall made that decision, and because of that, he died.

To be fair, the gameplay combined with the cutscenes in the first fight with Thor is metal as fuck. No dancing around, no dodging the same 2 attacks constantly, no slapping Thor for 10 minutes with seemingly no effect; Just two Gods, exchanging brief but earth-shatteringly destructive blows to each other. This is exactly how a fight between Kratos and Thor should be. Back and forth, back-to-back devastation.

Kratos' entire life seems to be full of people picking fights with him as revenge for the death of someone who previously picked a fight with him. It is like a classic cycle of revenge that will never end.

I love how this max damage makes it look like Kratos gets his ass kicked a lot more, especially in the first Thor fight just because the cinematic parts that get Kratos beat up happen so quickly one after another.

The fact that Thor’s tooth stays in the same spot he threw it the entire game is a crazy amount of attention to detail.

Damn with 2 billion strength thor vs kratos 1 looks alot more realistic with thor not being able to tank dozens of axe swings in gameplay and kratos not being able to handle the hammer in cutscenes really balances it out.

Suprisingly overpowered Kratos is very cinematic instead of anti-climatic

Some of these were actually what I'd like to see more in a game. I loved the Blades of Chaos, how they allow Kratos to be faster, much better than the Axe of Leviathan. If the game pulled back and just allowed us to go jumping really high like a god would and integrate the chains as a way to go swinging around, it would be the best experience. Imagine a Shadow of Colossus style boss fight where we get to crawl on a giant creature by ourselves, no QTE and no cutscenes, just pure epic gameplay. Of course, that would make the player very powerful, so bosses would have to be harder, but actually make our hits count, not just turn them into sponges.

You know Kratos is in a different level when even Heimdall fears him and calls him "Monster.".

Particularly fond of the Heimdall fight with these mods - gives the sense that once Kratos gets past his ability to predict his opponents, there really isn't anything to him.

I love how Kratos and Thor have an equal amount of quickly beating each other up and then saying “Ight that’s enough” and start throwing each other across the map showing off their feats of extreme strength. Just seems way quicker and extreme and I love it. And then of course Thor just peace’s out and basically is like “I like you... hope I can go sparring again with ya later.”

I would definitely say this is what the lore accurate fights would look like. Also, cause of how fast paced the fights are, it reminds me of the OG games. I love it! I also miss those games. Not miss them, miss them. Because I still play them. But I miss that style. I wish it was still insanely over the top all the time like the games used to be. It also seems like they nerfed Kratos. They say it's because he is old. But I don't believe that. I mean look at Zeus in the older games. He was old, but still could kick utter ass. He beat the shit outta Kratos multiple times. So to say Kratos is weak? No... I prefer to say he is just holding back. Also, minor complaint. I wish they spoke proper. Like in the older games. In these games, they seem to be talking in modern english. Unlike the old games. I prefered that. It seemed more intelligent, and somewhat period accurate. But in these newer games? Nah... On top of the fact they speak like its the modern day, they also cuss. Now... I'm no pussy. I can handle a swear word or two. My real issue is, they didn't cuss in the older games. Or if they did, it was a very little amount. I don't know. It kinda pulls me out of the immersion to hear 2000+ year old gods cussing and talking as if it is 2023 when back then it would be like, what? The year 1003? Or is that too early. I don't know my ancient mythology/history. Last thing. Something annoying about the new games is your companions. They treat you as if you are a bumbling idiot. Incapable of solving simple puzzles or task. It is really stupid. Not a fan, and I wish you could turn that dialogue off. Hate being treated like a toddler, and this game is one that does that often.

Kratos beating Heimdall while he was stating who he was and his purpose in Ragnarok is perfection it make me feel like am watching a someone play the orginal God of War Gameplay.
