Hey guys! I forgot to mention that Coates mentioned the Hinterkaifeck Murders which took place here in Bavaria which is about 7 hours from me. This cold case was covered on Buzzfeed Unsolved if you want to learn more about it. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qa59erCVya64ZoU.html I think this historic murder inspired Coates because she mentioned it a few times.

Wonderful! I'm new to Darcy Coates too and will have to pick this up, and Craven Manor as mentioned by Written in Blood below. I am absolutely going to read up on the true murders so thank you for linking this for us!

Yes, I'm so glad you liked Ashburn House! I love what you said about a world of solitude. Also loved the quote. Sorry about the other book. It stinks when book portrays itself to be something it's not. That's how I felt about Jaws. The shark was such a small part of the book, but its called JAWS! I definitely wouldn't be happy if there weren't ghosts in a book called House of Ghosts. Oh, just want to add that I love your editing:)

Yes! I rem your Jaws review! I imagined the editor for House of Ghosts was like "Hey, WC Ryan, we think you should change your title to "House of Ghosts" "But I already have a great name, Torpedo Borpedo Arial Boops" "Yes, that's great, we love that, but, just add some ghosts in there and we can sell this as a Ghost Story!" "Well, Ok." LOL The editing takes me all day but its weirdly fun for me, probably just an excuse to drink more coffee haha! Thank you =)

Loved this review 🖤!!!Always on the look for Haunted House novels and definitely The Haunting of Ashburn House piqued my interest really liked how you described the main protagonist and her existential crisis within the creepy house .

@@HarpiesintheTrees As I finished watching your video I went to audible and had some credit and got myself hold of the novel , and started it right away the narrator is amazing and the writing is so good I am immersed already about 20 minutes in and so far loving it 🖤 . Definitely will love talking to you about it once I am finished 😊.

Oh man, Im curious to what you thought! To me it wasnt a ghost story it was a mystery/thriller, a decent one, but not ghosty. I'm gonna watch 👻

LOL Yeah, ugh, the whole cast was very much like a Clue game, I'm surprised the maid didnt have on a minisikirt and a garter belt LOL

Lol You were generous giving 2.5 to a book with sexist elements. 😏 It irks me to spend my time & money on a book that insults women characters however passively

It always makes me angry and bored. 😑 Its 2019 and women are still written about (and other things) like a subspecies. "Seemed to indicate intelligence" by glancing at him. So because she notuced him shes smart? While the male characters intelligence is not reduced to common blinking but action or merit. Sigh. Yes, I did finish it, but why, at what cost? Lol
