I love Dark Fury. I diluted it about 15:1 and used it on our shower. There was mineral stains and soap scum that wouldn’t not come off, no matter what I tried. I sprayed the diluted dark fury on and rinsed it off, it took off 70-80% just by rinsing. I lightly scrubbed the remaining off and now it looks like new. I have several of their products and I’m impressed with all of it. Very economical too.

Used Dark Fury for the first time yesterday after watching one of your earlier videos for removing bugs. My wife's SUV is white and the front end was caked. Unbelievably good stuff! Over 75% came off touchless with a 30-sec to 1 min dwell time with just a garden hose spray. HIGHLY recommended stuff! Thank you for doing these detailed reviews and thank to Superior for making these awesome detailing products at such good prices. I just ordered Formula 4 for spotless drying.

I would be very careful with Dark Fury. I used it as a pre-wash to loosen surface dirt and bugs at a 10:1 ratio. After a few minutes I noticed the grey colored trim around my windows becoming oxidized and splotchy (2022 Kia Sorento). While I love the product and how well it works... be VERY CAREFUL with where you apply it. Always spot test first! That being said, great video as always, Luke. Keep up the great work!

Did a nasty white Frontier work truck yesterday this same process was done in 1.5 inside and out with Spray 4 in a foam cannon and hp rinse and it looked like I hand waxed that truck all the tar and bugs and grease no scrubbing truck looked new and waxed again!

I have been using Dary Fury for quite a while. I really love the way it cleans wheels and that I can use it for other things. One place it does really well is the area around the gas cap. That area under the little door is just a dirt trap. Dark Fury busts through that dirt like nothing else. I also like to use it on the truck and hood sills which collect tons of dirt as well. Makes really short work of things. I really need to try it on the front of the car now to get rid of bugs and road grime. Seems like I should have tried this already but you learn something new every day.

Dark fury is an excellent product as you highlighted in this video. I think its the best tire and wheel cleaner hands down for the price and the durability is exceptional. I like using it for pre soaking prior to a full detail and my favorite use is for dirty door jams.

Always been a big fan of acid wheel cleaners like Meguiar's Wheel Brightener. I have tight spoke wheels. So, using Wheel Brightener makes it so much easier to remove brake dust from the tight spots.

I use Turtle Wax Hybrid line Wheel and Tire cleaner, 3D Wheel and Tire cleaner diluted 20:1 or 10:1 depending on severity. And lastly DIY APC ALL CLEAN. Never used Superior products. As always informative videos Luke Wilson. You passion is appreciated always 🤜🏽🫡👌👀

Dark Fury is a fantastic wheel cleaner. I'm going to try it as an exterior pre-soak now thanks to this video. I have also had good luck with Nanoskin Non-Acid Wheel Cleaner which is also very economical. Suds Lab XA appears to be the same formula as Dark Fury, on the shelf at Wal-Mart, but not nearly as economical.

Never used Dark Fury but I just ordered some to try . I mainly use Turtle Wax hybrid solution tire and wheel and Maguires non acidic wheel cleaner.

Recently bought a new Audi Q7 and just learning about detailing. Was buying all these other products that everyone recommends, came across your channel a few months ago and having been replacing all my stuff with Superior Products (so far dark fury, road warrior, cherry foam, dirt buster and formula 4). Love the info on the doomsday scenarios - what if I flub up and leave on too long or in direct sunlight.

I was using Meguiars D143 for years, but prices went way up. Tried Dark Fury a couple weeks ago and I’m really impressed!!! Locally it’s half the price of Megs too. Dark Fury also works really well on rubber/all weather floor mats.

Have you tried Superior White Wall 1000 for really dirty/browning tire cleaning. Its my go to over Dark Fury in those circumstances. Wear appropriate protection when using. Another sleeper product of there's is Non Acid Universal Cleaner.

I bought some Turtle wax iron remover last weekend and used some on my wheels. It did every bit as good a job as the stuff you showed did. Not a bit of scrubbing and wheel was shiny clean, iron free also. The car I tested it on just had a 2,500 mile trip to Colorado including a run up Pikes Peak (14,115 feet). I have ferro carbon pads which are also a bit dirtier than the normal ceramics. First time I've found anything that can really clean wheels.

My mobile detailing business is chemical free. I only do interiors. I use steam and products from the Eco-Sense line by Melaleuca, those being Tough & Tender all purpose, Clear Power for glass and Rustic Touch for conditioning leather. Customers love it and so do my hands (I simply can't wear gloves).

I have found the dilution ratio more 5:1 on Dark Fury to be effective in my area on Maui. Additionally, Superior has a great bundle package in 1/2 gallon sizes to try a lot of their products. Interesting, one by one , I’ve been replacing my go to products with this brand for the bulk of my work. Still keep other products for occasional use.

i have only been using brake buster def gets the job done 75% of the time but if there is a lot of caked on brake dust you have to re apply re apply

Would Dark Fury strip ceramic coating or damage ppf? I want to try it as a bug remover and also to clean rocker panels, but I'm paranoid it would damage my ceramic coated ppf. Also, @ 13:23, isn't the pressure gun dangerously close to the paint? I've heard you gotta keep it 6 inches away from the paint and 12 inches away from the trim to avoid damage. I actually damaged the clear coat on my old car before I knew any better. I was trying to pressure wash some bird droppings from my car by getting in super close with the pressure washer. It took less than a month for those spots to show bubbling on the clear coat.

I love both types of products. I'm a bigger fan of RCP Copperhead instead of Dark Fury. It's cheaper and dilutes the same and imo, is stronger. Nonetheless, Dark Fury full strength can be used as a touchless solution. Acids are tremendous and I used to use them exclusively. With this acid, does it stain the tires like acids tend to do?

I used it at the recommended dilution rate on a cold bike out of air conditioned garage. Fury discolored my powder coated front wheel. Bike was in sun while applied but was rim was still cool to touch. I definitely wouldn't apply it to any painted surfaces.

Haven’t tried Dark Fury, I would like to. Currently using super clean 3:1 on wheels and tires, combined with Hybrid Solutions Iron Decon on the wheels. I have tried Superior leather cleaner. it works well and is strong. I usually dilute it 1:1 or 2:1 and it cleans well. I would also like to try the aluminum brightener. Do you know the difference between that and the wire wheel cleaner? i have not used any acid yet. I was also intrigued by Jimbos Magic Wheel cleaner

Their acidic cleaners differ in the primary active chemical that is actually the acid... one of them is hydrofluoric, the others are different... can't remember exactly right now,, will get back

Aluminum Brightener and Wire Wheel Cleaner both contain Hydroflouric Acid and Phosphoric Acid. Wire Wheel Cleaner has a much higher acid concentration. There is also Superior Products F30 Cleaner. It contains both of those acids plus the addition of Sulfuric Acid. HTH. Thanks!

Megs D140 wheel brightener works just as good for an acid base cleaner. Used it for many years. Makes chrome POP with a 4:1 mix. Let sit for 60 seconds or so. For alkaline I would get 5 gallons of Zep TNT on Zoro for the cost of 2 gallons of Dark Fury. Fury is a really good cleaner though. Not knocking it at all except for the price.

@@KennyKern1 I tried DF as a pre-soak on single stage today, diluted 4:1. I wouldn’t recommend it, it seems to seep into the single stage pores and leaves a stain. I’ll have to polish it out. Other off label uses: 10:1 in a foam cannon as pre-soak on clear coat, I can get away with touchless, especially when the vehicle has a sealant or coating. We use 3D bead it up and it doesn’t strip.

Technically you can, but you CAN NOT let it sit too long nor dry completely on the painted wheels. I still wouldn't chance it though. You could try a higher dilution to make it less of a risk. I would not use it as wheel maintenance, only if the wheel is hammered.

I use Marolex sprayers they can be purchased for alka and acid types. I do flush the sprayers after each use. They last a very long time if you do this. If you did need to rebuild the sprayer, you can get replacement orings, etc for them too.

@@wilsonautodetailingI can try to help on this Luke!! Wire Wheel Cleaner is composed of Hydrofluoric Acid, Phosphoric Acid, 2-Butoxyethanol and a detergent. F-30 is just Phosphoric Acid and Hydrofluric Acid. Both will do a similar job when it comes to cleaning mineral based deposits on your paint and wheels however Wire Wheel Cleaner will do a better job at not only cleaning but brightening the appearance because of the added surfactants. Both products can be used at full strength however it would be overkill for the typical amount of contamination on a vehicle. You would normally only do this on extremely dirty vehicles such as in the fleet detailing world on bare unpolished metal. Something like a heavily corroded excavator or dump truck. Even then that would be rare. (Great news because you get more for your money diluting it down) Normal dilution ratios for both products are are as follows: Wheel Cleaning - 4:1 Removal of Oxidation - 3:1 Water Spot Removal - 8:1 Removal of Brake Dust - 10:1 *side note for Luke… you can download a little book from my website that has all my dilution ratios and even some off label use cases for the products I use for my business. Keep in mind the aluminum brighter has HF as the active ingredient. It absorbs through your skin very easily and will leach the calcium from your bones. I personally wouldn’t use it outside, only inside of a controlled environment with a proper mask, and all of my skin covered.

Dark fury is king for function and cost, thx to Scott (dallas paint and correction) for first introducing this product on youtube. However, careful on how it weakens or removes ceramic/graphene coatings.

1) I’m guessing you cannot use dark fury on a protected wheel because it is so caustic? 2) you stated you are using dark fury in a 10-1 dilution; do you know what the dilution is the 16oz ready to use bottles?

I can't say for sure if it would strip the coating off, but I've honestly found that any of my coated surfaces don't need an aggressive cleaner. They usually clean right up easily with a neutral car soap. If the wheels get really dirty, you can add it a bit higher ph soap into your wheel cleaning mix. I'm curious to hear if anyone knows if the acid is that aggressive in this cleaner.

@@mygt8a4re it’s not acidic, it’s extremely high on the alkaline ph end, but certain chemicals like sodium hydroxide make it rough on paint protection and our health (I believe)

Also mention you cant put aluminum bright on all rims some wheels work with no touch some don’t. We been in mobile detailing for over 50 years and its a lot of chemicals that would be safe for all rims. Aluminum bright will damage powder coated rims and is very harmful to to rims in the summer time.we have 32 mobile vans and cover 45% of sc but keep up the good work

If you wanna take it to another level.. Apply the wheel acid, wait 15 secs then use dark fury in a foam cannon over the top to neutralize the acid then go in with your wheel brushes. Insane

@@joelpasserell4525 the wheel acid 4-1 and I put couple of ozs of undiluted dark fury in my foam cannon and fill the rest with water. Works great in direct sunlight to help slow anything drying out while you clean

Could you mix 2-3 oz of dark fury and 2-3 oz of aluminum brightner in a foam cannon then filling remaining with water and apply it this way?

this might sound like a dumb question, when you say diluted 10:1 does that mean 10 oz of water and 1oz of product ?

No you have to look at a dilution chart for the entire size of the spray bottle your trying to make but what it means is 10parts water to 1 part of the product.

It's just like a universal ratio. So like 10cups to 1 cup, 10 Oz to 1oz. 10 gallons to 1 gallon.

@DJJDSKREWED well technically, as they asked the question, if they throw 10oz. of water & 1oz of product in a 16 or 32oz bottle etc., they'll have a 10:1 mix. The size of the bottle doesn't matter unless they want to fill the whole bottle at a 10:1 mix. Just sayin😉

90 % of my go to products is Superior Products and Dark Fury is also can be used as a Touch less Wash and Will literally be used on everything outside no problem 😉
