For those who use IEM for PC can't you just EQ using other software rather then rely on DSP setting of the cable? Just curious, still trying to figure out the ins and outs of DSP. I've never gotten one nor really played with EQ settings (don't trust myself enough to do so lol but I am interested in quality sound. Also can the DSP be used for PC or is it a mobile only kinda deal with the apps. Kinda silly that they terminate with a type c as the default. Should just use a 3.5mm and come with a dongle or something, or vice versa. Or perhaps a dongle to convert to a type C to a type A usb port.

Eq is very important.Its a pity that there are not many dac- amps or cables that have good EQs

@@Abhishek-st7lg dsp is just eq. if you have android with no audio jack then dsp version is better than pairing with some chinese noname usbc dac. but if you have one / planning to get a wired or bluetooth dac / if you dont change eq at all then in all these cases 3.5mm

@@Abhishek-st7lg personally i don’t use eq - it makes the sound dynamic inconsistent between various genres/styles - and the thought that im the reason of it doesn’t … for me

2:45 On the quarks dsp nobody mentioned this problem but seems like the noise floor issue is still here, it isn't more noticeable because the dsp shuts off after it stops outputting sound. Unacceptable issue.

Hey Jay,might be a little late to the party but can you possibily review the Moondrop Space Travel TWS? Heard it has great tuning for a TWS Totally agree with you btw, DSP still have a long way to go before matching traditional analog, but with way the Chifi industry is moving anything is possible

Bro, I just received mine And they’re shit sadly For the money being a TWS they are fine, but my Soundcore Space A40 are way better still not being from an audiophile company The Space Travel is also a couple of levels below the Hola & Chu in terms of clarity and detail Tbh I don’t get the positive reviews It is at a good price, but doesn’t compete with wired IEMs in any way Also worse than cheap TWS under 100$ Hope I could help :)

Well, to us it looks boring. But at least for those who only need a headset for conventional smartphone needs at a low price, they will at least get sound quality that is quite good..

So i have a question/concern.. i would say i play video games competitively so “imaging” of peoples footsteps, sounds, etc are a must.. but i also do listen to music and i value the way music can sound.. i want to stray away from headphones and get myself IEM’s.. i have the thieaudio hype 4 in mind or do you recommend another choice (budget friendly)??

As the DSP is sonically almost identical to the normal Chu 2, would it be a good choice for only android listening? I'm having problems with my apple dongle not being loud enough and thought teh usb-c port could prevent the issue.

Get a DAC dongle like Venture electronics Odo. Cheap and easy fix.
