No kidding suspicious activity that was laughable how about the citizen that called the law just walk out and introduce himself and maybe ask what he's doing have a nice conversation but the conditioning over the last few decades have us fearing things that never would have bothered us in the past. The sociological control mechanism was perfectly illustrated in this video. One call is all it takes for your rights to be trampled on.

@@jamescole3152 The guy would still have rights. If the complaining party can't even give the cops something to use in order to identify if the individuals even know the resident or not, then what are they even trying to accomplish? They are trying to fish for warrants. That's what the "ID please" interactions do. What are they going to do? Prove that they don't know the resident who is across town picking up X item for the group? The only party that can press for trespass is the property owner/resident. There is literally no crime to charge anyone with, so what does this "investigation" solve? Being "suspicious" is not a crime.

Had a cop do that to me in a town called Garner, NC once. Wrote me a ticket because someone came to the station and told him I did something. He didn't confirm just wrote the ticket and put it up to me to financially defend myself in court. Worst thing the fool told me I had to plead guilty to it (and it was a felony) like I was an idiot. Come the day of the court appearance I told the DA what the cop did and he told the Judge who then basically yelled at the cop in the courtroom that he couldn't just write tickets for things he didn't even witness. The cop sat there like an idiot. I still had to use my one Expungement on something I wasn't even present for. Didn't even do. Ill add I still have zero criminal record. The guy who went to the cop has loads of charges on his. I did a background check on him. Assault, DUI, Driving without a license, Battery, etc.

Also shouldve added the way he contacted me was he did a background search on me and Sent Raleigh, NC (the place I lived at the time) cops to my door (about 7 of them) and one of them handed me his phone and the guy told me to come pick up a ticket. I asked what for and he said it doesnt matter you need to come to the station and gave me the address.

Was walking to work one day. 2 Oakland county sheriff trucks pull up on me and hop out aiming weapons. I asked the reason for stopping me. They got a call of a home invasion in the trailer park that I was walking past when they stopped me. I asked what was the description a black man 6 foot tall in a Leo's Coney island uniform? They said yes 6bfoot tall black man minus the uniform. I replied that's about half the black men in this county. Smh. I went as long as I could without giving my ID to them because Michigan is not stop and frisk but one cop was brandishing his weapon and getting very irate with me. I ended up giving in and handing over my identification. I know my rights but I feel I'm in a different type of danger because of my skin color if I refuse a cops unconstitutional demands. It's almost like just give in and live to talk about it or risk getting the cop that feels he can get away with it. Smh. It makes me sad. I have sons and I'm afraid for what they'll encounter one day.

It's much more then what they could reasonably need if it's just an investigation or no crimes been committed. Lawsuits and all disiplinary records should follow corrupt officers no matter where they go.

This could have been so much easier if the guy knew to say to her " What will happen if I don't offer my ID" ... " I will give up my ID under threat of arrest, will you arrest me if I don't give up my ID?" ..............................................

Every single time: when he first asks if he’s suspected of committing a crime, that slight pause and delay before she says, “We got a call” is what so many cops do when they get hit with that question. They truly believe their very existence as cops gives them the ultimate authority. If any of them were actually competent, they’d immediately articulate what crime, if any, this guy is suspected of. I’m so f$&king sick and tired of 1.) people who call the cops because they feel uncomfortable, and 2.) cops that feed into it by responding to every stupid “suspicious” person report.

Reminds me of all the dumb 911 calls. Delivery man, newspaper boy, girl selling water. Callers can also just feint ignorance. “Well he looked suspicious.” No he was probably just black. Or he didn’t “look” like he belonged.

We just need to specialize law enforcement by crime type and to get rid of the paranoid patrols and patrol calls based on something that "might be" suspicious. Have a unit that just enforces against theft, robbery, car jackings, and financial crimes and another unit that only deals with bar fights, domestic issues, and child custody debates and have the people call the law enforcement unit that they need specifically for their individual situation. If you are in a band or jewelry store that's getting hit you call Anti-Robbery Services and if you are in a pub or club that has a fight that's getting out of control you call the Domestic Services Unit. "All crime all the time!" approach has failed everyone in so many different ways!!

As a cop if you don't want to answer the question, you just copsplain "as I explained to you multiple times ...." as if the answer has been already provided. If you repeat the question you are not cooperating.
