It’s a Son problem if all need the righteousness of the Son to stand justified before the Father. Forgiveness of all sin doesn’t mean a person is righteous/justified before the Father. Righteousness/justification comes at the moment one believes that Christ has already forgiven all sin at the cross. So, lamentably, there will be people separated from God in eternity with their sins forgiven, but no righteousness of Christ attributed to them for lack of belief. Since these folks’ works - not there sins - will be judged for righteousness apart from Christ, we know those ‘good’ works will not suffice.
