◆I took Japan's Ferry in heavy snow from Otaru to Niigata.
It was a luxurious travel experience at a reasonable price.

As soon as you opened the door and turned on the lights I said WOW. Great room and view of the ocean this time. The quality of everything in ferry travel is really amazing in Japan. And your light hearted English comments are a real hit to my sense of humour. Thanks for all your efforts to entertain and enlighten us. Bushyboy Oz.

Just be careful which ferry you go on--use Kuga and other's videos as a guide. :-) Just came to this after watching a Solo Travel Japan vid where the poor guy spent much more than Kuga did here for a 'private' room on a trip that was only 12 hours...and got what was basically a capsule room, wasn't given a key, the hallways were only wide enough for one person, and there were long lines at the restaraunt because the seating area was too small...and all this was on a *maiden voyage* of a new ship for the route.

That little room was really cute, better than some motels I have seen here in the States!

A lovely journey. Something I noticed: While the ship was launched in 2017, they must have moved some of the furnishings from an older ship. The clock and alarm built into the bedside table uses a vacuum fluorescent display, and those have not been used in consumer electronics in many years, replaced with LED and dot-matrix displays.

I really like that there is either English "subs" if you will on the signs and monuments or English spelling on the monuments there in Japan. I visited Korea a couple of years back and I was really intimidated because I could not figure out how to get around there. I guess you could say it's not as English speaking friendly (?) as there in Japan. Your videos are awesome, entertaining, and informative. Keep on making them. I'm glad I'm watching the videos on your channel.
